Yeah that was horrible. What's even the point of replay if they continue to **** it up?

I don't understand why I keep listening to the games even when we're 2 games below .500 and at least 6 games behind for a wild card spot with 30 whatever games left to play.
I'm so disappointed with myself...

It's time to get a new manager in here with a new message.
Bochy is an all time great and what he does in the playoffs is amazing but they're not listening to him.

Evan Grant wrote in the DMNs that Josh Jung will be on the bench quite a bit down the stretch of the season, and that CY and the front office view him and his game as "volatile" right now. Signals to me that Jung's future with this team is very much in question and he could be on his way out this summer (I personally hope he is).
That makes Heim, Garcia and Jung, and likely Joc as serious contenders to not be on this team next year.

What happens at 3B? Are we done with Jung?

He's a right handed Josh Smith, but I'd like to see us bring Kiner-Falefa back to play 3B. Contact hitter, would be inexpensive, doesn't get injured. Not your typical HR threat at 3B, but he's consistent.

Don't disagree, but we also need to see some serious improvement from Langford and Carter (doubt it from him but point stands). Langford MUST end up being a .250 hitter with 25+ homers at minimum for this team to truly go. Then like you said we need two more real bats, and those bats likely need to be guys who can be clubhouse vocal leaders. Tough ask.

Meh. I'd rather see what Cody Freeman can do for the next month if we are going to look at more of a contact hitter. Feels like you need a little more pop at 3B though.

Freeman had 19 HR in 384 ABs at RR, slg of 549 and OPS of 932 - and only 37 Ks. He's got power in addition to making good contact.

Joc is on the books for $18.5M next year. He's going to get a shot.

Looking to find out if he gets sent through Waivers this week or next.

They are saying put him out there where someone else can claim him which would involve taking his contract too. If no one does, you pull him back

But if you do that you show a lack of confidence in him and/or you may harm the club's relationship with him.
If I'm the club I'm reassuring him he's part of the team's plan for next year, and beyond that if he performs well. I think the best thing for the Rangers is having a normal Joc Pederson season next year.

You don't evaluate a player on his career best season. You evaluate him on the norm, or average.
For his career, Pederson averages .237 with 26 HR and 68 RBI, based on 162 games. That's not exceptional. It' pretty mediocre. He offers absolutely nothing defensively, and he's only effective against RHP. If this team is serious about reconstructing this roster, he needs to go.
