The Garcias are just brutal right now.

If we just don't pitch Garcia these last 5 games, we probably have a 2 game lead in the WC.

Alright lets relax off the DFA talk a bit lol. He was our best reliever for a huge part of this season. He's in a rough patch right now and his outings should be limited, but we're not putting him in the dumpster.

Yeah that was bad. Pretty much the whole bullpen available. There was no reason to put him in a tie game with a day off tomorrow

Was his fastball always this bad? I don't remember it being low as 94-95 and terribly located early in the year. Either way, it's not an MLB pitch right now and he shouldn't be an MLB pitcher

It's been between 94-97 most of the year, but he can't locate it for **** right now, just like deGrom. Dudes can turn around 95 middle middle when they are sitting on it faster than you can blink.

Another thing I find interesting about this is Garcia is also basically a fastball slider pitcher, and I just have to wonder if that doesn't play a role with these guys fastballs getting absolutely t-bagged. They're on one pitch basically the whole at-bat because they know you really only have one other. Sit one pitch and launch.

He threw a really good changeup to Goldy on 0-1 that got such a disjointed swing. Tried to beat him with the fastball in after that but it's just not a hard enough fastball and that one wasn't in enough.

I know I'm being a little extreme in my comment, but my thing is that fastball slider guys like Garcia and deGrom throw two pitches SO often, that if they put a change up across the plate for a strike then cool. Big whoop. You know they are coming right back with a fastball or slider and likely going to try to strike you out on those too. I just believe that you need to have a third pitch that you can either throw for a strike often or that you can have guys swing and miss at if its that good. See Paul Skenes with the Splitter.
