If we do sign a top SP, would you prefer Cease or Suarez? Or someone else?

Suarez so we get someone left handed

Cease. I like his stuff more. I like that he's been more of a workhorse. And I think our pitching lab can get him to a Cy Young level.

Cease. Think he has higher upside and our pitching lab is a perfect fit.

Whoever you sign, expect them to miss 1.5-2 seasons of a 5 year deal for TJ.

I think you have to expect it and if it doesn't happen you got lucky. But expect it. If you pay 5/100 it's really 3/100 in terms of actual time on the mound.

Please. I want this to finally happen so bad.

I dunno, depends on if we are trading something stupid. Donovan is a nice player but he doesn't solve our man offensive issue (power).

If Yordan, Pena, and Parades stay healthier than in 2025, that power issue gets solved.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a Merry Christmas. And Altuve and Correa will be a year older.

It doesn't matter how good your roster is if your best 3 players play <60% of the games. Your offense is going to fall short of expectations. I think it's reasonable to expect them to be healthier. Do you not?

To be fair, he is already an expert on strike outs.

Doesn't a pitching show-off video usually show where the pitch is going?

That looks like an old used car ad in the mailers that would say "slight front-end damage" but the photo was cut off so you couldn't see the front end.

I bet Dubon doesn't get anywhere near that much from the Astros.

Classic Angels, don't even do a physical on the often injured guy you're trading for

Mike Tauchman is an odd non-tender for the White Sox.

Lefty OF bat with one year of arbitration left who has a track record of decent offensive production without vulnerability to LHP that so many lefty bats have.

He is old (will be 35 in 2026 season), but seems like low-risk for good output, especially as a bench player.

At what point do you have to start wondering if the Angels payroll is actually a money laundering operation in disguise with as much money as they willingly throw away on guys who are chronically injured?

Healthier, yes. But that means Yordan could still miss 40+ games. Which is reasonable given his track record. And if Pena and Parades are healthier but a year older Altuve and fragile Correa can totally offset that fact. Not to mention if we keep Walker and he ages another year.

Sports are a young man's game and it isn't wise to depend on numerous guys over 32 or so.

Pena, Paredes, Alvarez, & Correa are not over 32.
