I agree! I would rather stomach the three 100+ loss seasons for a chance at a massive run over potentially being the post 2005 World Series Astros.

As of today, only 4 back of the division lead. Is this team a World Series winner? No.

Unfortunately my hopeium addiction is real and I just can't quite count them out yet, at least for the division.

Yeah...You can't be counted the first week of May being 4 GB.

That's the good news.

The bad news is the outlook for the remainder of the season is not promising.

This is the infield from last year before CC was acquired. This may actually help Paredes get completely back on track by knowing he will be in the lineup at 3rd almost every day.

This creates a hole. Pena will rehab this weekend, and we'll probably see him in about a week or so. That means we get every day play from Nick Allen or Braden Shewmake.

I should have been clearer -- it does create a short-term hole -- but if it is weeks or months as speculated -- we will end up competing with the same infield as last year longer term.

Also -- a "severe" ankle injury could be a sprain. If it's bad enough -- CC could be on the shelf 6-8 weeks.

So the Red Sox and Dodgers were (according to this guy) sending signals from the clubhouse video coordinator, live to base coaches and that's not cheating? Really? I'm pretty sure that's outlawed and we lost draft picks, a GM and a Manager over that.

What hypocrisy.

What's even more interesting is hearing Astros haters say "Houston wasn't even punished". Umm....yes the organization was punished. Then they say "well the players weren't held accountable". They fail to realize MLB would not have gotten the information/evidence they did without giving the players immunity.

And then MLB fails to "investigate" other clubs with similar accusations. When has MLB gone in and offered everyone immunity to get evidence? The Astros have been the only club that was given that treatment (as far as I know).

Actually our best hope is that our division is hot garbage. However, that's only for purposes of making the playoffs. Zero chance this team can do anything if they get to that point.
