As bad as it's been, I suspect it might get worse. Yordan is batting .200 with 1 HR and 1 RBI since the Yankee series ended 4/26. That's 9 games. 10K's in those 9 games vs 7 in the previous 23.

Jeremy Affeldt has his own history of weird injuries. 2 of them came playing with his kids, another he sliced his hand open with a knife, and he strained a muscle in his back (I think) after a sneeze

I was already wondering that. How many guys really want to rush back or play through pain every night to lose games because the pitchers can't throw strikes?

Unless we start playing over .500 ball the rest of the way I think it'll be pretty easy to count out the Astros by the all star break.
Currently on pace to win 63 games, and given all the injuries going on I don't really see a lot of optimism for making that number increased by that much. We could end up with about 75-80 wins, best case scenario… But it'll be pretty obvious that the moves need to be made

This. Aggie baseball and (for the first time in almost 10 years!) Spurs playoffs are carrying the sports year at the moment.

I'm definitely thankful for the run they had… But I'd be lying if I said I'm content with how things are going. There was definitely a window to keep being a playoff team last year and this year if they made smarter moves and didn't give out so many bad contracts.
There is zero way that 2024 team should have had the horrendous start they did and go 0-2 in the wild card series.
We aren't winning in 2026. I'm curious to see if we will blow it all up or try to rebound in 2027.
