This ****ing team.
We are a joke of what we used to be.

The only hope we have is that Brown, Imai, Hader, Pena, Loperfido, and Meyers all coming back in the somewhat near future.
Joe says you'll figure it out in the majors, buddyTatsuya Imai’s next start will be in the major leagues, Joe Espada said.

Looks like we sold our souls for 2017-22 and the bill has come due

I agree! I would rather stomach the three 100+ loss seasons for a chance at a massive run over potentially being the post 2005 World Series Astros.
What if the three becomes 5?
Is there another way to do it without risking a long run of 100+ losses or completely non-competitive baseball?

Still worth it. Best run this city has ever seen.

Yep. But now that it's ended so abruptly… I really look at that 2023 ALCS with more disdain.
Imagine 3 titles in 7 seasons (including back to back post scandal where nobody could deny it)

That one hurt, especially since it was Arlington...but 2019 was the one that got away for me. That team was all-time great and then just couldn't get a WS win at home.
Depth was always the argument for keeping him or at least not feeling urgency to do so. We're getting to the point where it doesn't really matter. The team has no pitching and Altuve and CW are at an age where 145+ games seems highly unlikely. Hopefully Dezenzo is ready to man a corner spot soon if need be.AustinCountyAg said:
Dana is a genius not trading Parades. We have our third baseman....until he trades him when he throws in the towel

We got caught in 2023 by every single Ranger having a career year and of course roided up Garcia

And not being able to score at home. Also didn't help to have a Framber meltdown in game 2

After watching Framber's meltdown in Detroit, I am so glad he's gone. Just a big baby.
And for Hinch to admit that it didn't feel right to clear the bench in support of him… wow.

Pitching overall is worse, but the offense is better. Pitching SHOULD get better with Brown and Hader coming back -- eventually.
Not to be a sunshine pumper, BUT --- this team still has pieces to compete without CC.
Remember, Dana traded for CC for leadership and because Yordan and Paredes were hurt.
I think we can still reach the 87 wins as long as the guys currently on the DL can contribute in the coming weeks.
