Remember the feeling of being 18-years-old, anxiety twisting your stomach as you scan the lecture hall of your first college class, wondering what seat to take? Maybe you thought "I've got this." Or maybe you were more on the side of "I don't have this."

If you could go back and give your freshman self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Would you say:

  • "Network more with others in your major."
  • "Don't forget to Q-drop that class."
  • Or maybe, "Don't leave the 2018 TAMU vs. LSU football game early."

  • Drop your advice in the comments.

With the Master of Engineering Technical Management (METM), you get the chance to go back to school and take your own advice. METM is an online program for professionals who have gained a minimum of four years of experience in a technical or engineering field and are ready to become leaders.

If you're a working professional (or know one) who is ready to level up their career, check out the Master of Engineering Technical Management. It's online, built for working professionals, and full of the Aggie Spirit.

    So let us know:
What would you tell your freshman self?

Drop out of college and spend every penny I would have otherwise spent on tuition, room, and board on Amazon stock instead. I could be retired right now.

    2. Don't let him exchange his bitcoin for dominoes pizza

    The winning powerball numbers for March 1, 1995 are 19, 20, 21, 36, 16 and the PB is 33.

Use the money to spread the good news about Jesus; and Aggie NIL which won't make since now, but will in a few decades.

Do some homework every once in awhile. It'll help avoid that detour through Blinn.

Don't major in the Corps. You'll still be explaining away your GPA in 20 years.

To start contributing to my 401K immediately after college, even if its a small percentage. You can always lower the percentage if you need new tires or whatever

You'd be surprised how often it's still requested even if you've been out of school 30 yrs.

Be aware of lifestyle creep. Eat at home. Dont hire a financial advisor when you can do just as well without them taking a cut.

Don't believe you there, jack. Nobody cares. After awhile nobody cares about school - just skill or connections.

I'm 54 and self employed so maybe I'm missing something here. If I were in an interview and they asked about my college GPA I would answer to keep the conversation going but I'd see that as a massive red flag that I don't want that job. I can't possibly think of anything less relevant to success or failure for someone that deep into their career. So you're going to get the info you want while you lose me as a candidate. Probably zero chance I want to work for a company worries about that level of minutiae at this point in my career.

No one, but colleges and universities still require it for applications and admissions decisions, no matter how long it's been.
