Here is how I have wrapped my head around the gamble. If it tanks after it opens or in the next few months, it will likely be around 70% of the 135. But if it goes up, it could go up a crazy amount. So if you assume it is 50/50 as to whether it goes up or down, the downside and the upside have too wide of a variable to not pull the trigger.

I don't know if that's correct thinking for not, but I'm hoping I receive my full allocation.

I know this is just math but the idea that me and 1,000,000 other people could each put 1,000,000 bucks together and still not meet the valuation of this (or any other trillion dollar) company is literally incomprehensible. There are a ton of dollars out there.

I came out ahead, after a short hold on medline and robinhood ventures fund IPO. Received my SPCX allocation. We'll see what happens!

100% $SPCX allocation received. Elon followed thru with democratization of shares.

Just FYI, Fidelity filled my order overnight at the full request.

Also for what it's worth; I'm bullish in the short-term, but I'm not a financial expert.

I got a little more than half of what I requested. I actually put in for double what I wanted, not expecting to get 100%.

So really I'm right where I want to be. Let's see what happens at 9:30!

I'm with you. The market is flush with cash. Where was all this money 20 years ago? Is the explanation as simple as ZIRP (2008-2022) dumping money into investors hands?

Got it. Just saw they gave me 66% of the shares I asked for. I'm surprised because I don't have much money with fidelity, and I didn't request that many shares.

Got 85/100 allocated in my Fidelity account.

Here's a question....how long do I have to get the cash into the account to cover the purchase? It's in my IRA, so I'll need to sell some other holdings to free up the cash. I have a few losers that I don't mind cutting lose. If I sell those today, will Fidelity take those proceeds to cover the SPCX purchase? Or will Fidelity see that there's no free cash in my account and pull my allocation?
