I have a friend who worked on financings for Tesla when he was at Goldman, and Elon was known for pushing the limits on terms to maximize proceeds to the company. The best outcome for the company and underwriters is that this trades slightly up to flat.

Another interesting thing here is that they announced a 4x oversubscribed book but didn't raise the offering price. That tells me that there were likely a lot of funds that put in orders that they knew they wouldn't get and that allocable demand was considerably lower than the headline subscription number.

Secondary market first I believe. Won't go live on Nasdaq till they find a reasonable trade level I think.

Fidelity site seems bogged down.

We requested more than 10000 shares and got probably 500 total.

But many of our clients are already in at around a $30/sh basis. So not too concerned!

Anybody have any thoughts on the emerging Spacex ETFs as a place to put the unused cash for the shares I didn't get?

I have been with Fidelity for over 3 decades. I wonder if that had any bearing on them giving me my full request which wasn't much at 100 shares but still.

Does anybody know about the selling restrictions on Schwab as far as future IPO blacklisting? I didn't see anything stated anywhere through the process or FAQs about flipping your shares.

What are the prices you bought at? My limit order at $175 hasn't filled.

I'm reading stuff saying it might be later in the day until you see active trading. Don't really know why, but financial webpages still show $135 with no activity.

I got 1/6 of the shares I requested through Schwab. Meh.

Most IPOs don't start trading until well into the afternoon of their listing day.

Bankers are matching orders to make sure there's enough volume to smooth out spikes... SOP.

Guesses are $175-$190 at start. $250 peak before end of day.
