Requested 300 from Fidelity, got 85. Not too bad eh?

Is starting to look like it's going to open right at IPO price. I don't think it's going to matter how many shares you got allocated.

Yall are still buying live at this point beyond the $135 IPO price?

History says this is likely to dip below IPO price over the next year when insiders start cashing out.

But meme stock, all rules go out the window?

I bought a little bit just for fun. Don't care if it goes up or down.

I was just telling my sister that when she asked if I was going to buy the rest of what I wanted on the open market. I will buy in 90 or 180 days, whenever the lockout for insider sales ends and get some more on that dip. I am intending to hold for 5-10 years, so getting in at a reasonable price is all I am looking for. I guess making a short term play for the next few days and buying at 165 to sell at 175+ could be a thing. But that isn't my goal.

Bought around 150 shares at $162 and I'll stick it out. Hope to buy the dip, too.

Just chatted with Schwab support and they do not have any anti-flipping policies for IPOs. Maybe Schwab got a lower total allocation because of that and that's why Schwab clients seemed to get a lower percentage of their requests.

Just wait until the next rocket explodes and buy the dip.

I think I may have have screwed up the request at Fidelity

because it was showing "Confirm: No" this morning

need to figure this out for Anthropic and OpenAI coming up

Congrats all (and Elon), to be issued initial public stock of the biggest IPO in the history of the universe is pretty cool

Even if our allocation fulfillment was ****

Did you ever go back in and affirm your interest last night? The process for both them and Schwab was you put in your COTP and then once the price is set the night before, they send an email or notice in your account and you have to go back in and affirm your interest. If you don't affirm your interest, that is seen as a "no" and you don't get allocated shares.

I got the portion I requested from E*Trade. This is going to be a hold for me, hopefully for awhile. I'm not going to worry about a roller coaster of ups and downs here.

Didn't sell other stocks this week to get settled cash before today, but did have enough to get 5 @ $163 about 30 minutes before close. Instantly had unrealized losses, now back in green in the after hours. Now just have to figure out when I want to get to a nice round 100 shares

Set up to buy 50 shares at $150 about an hour before the market opened. Happy to see that it filled! This is a little side account that my company contributes to that I tend to forget about. Figured since I have about 30 years till retirement, I'll just buy in and let it ride!

Is this actually going to be a good buy, or is it just hype? Can't decide if it would be a bad idea to buy or not.

I think it's a meme stock for the next few years. They'll either land on the moon or they won't and then it'll find the real price. Depending on if you think they'll succeed or not is of you think it's worth it.

The Moon has nothing to do with the viability of SpaceX's current valuation. It is entirely inconsequential. I would put money on aging being cured before I'd put money on SpaceX making meaningful money from anything to do with the Moon.

SpaceX is a telecom and data center company.

SpaceX is a telecom and data center company.

Their goal with the moon is lunar orbital DCs. Low escape velocity means you can use mass drivers to slingshot satellites into orbit. Ion drives mean you can reposition very efficiently. Maybe even launch lunar and go to Earth orbit.

If that proves viable you don't even need their crazy starship fleet to create the ultimate AI datacenter. It will be a literal cloud of compute.

That's not even touching a Mars base, asteroid mining, other moons/planets, etc.
hph6203

You're failing to understand timelines and requirements of those goals. Anyone valuing a company today based upon what they might do in 15 years is making a mistake. We are far away from asteroid mining. They will need Starship or an equivalent as a launch vehicle for your entire lifetime unless we do solve aging.

I didn't say it was a likely outcome. It's a gamble "investment" IMO. But I also think it's gonna 100x if these things start coming through.

agree with this. Look at the incentive structure of his payout. The goals escalate from telecom/data center to mars.
