How long do you want to ignore this user?

Good morning,

Long story short there was a vacant property (pure trees and thick vegetation, no structure) that I would like to get badly as it meets my exact needs as far as proximity and characteristics of the land. It was only on the market 7 days and unfortunately my realtor was out of town and did not get our offer over in time and someone else had just had theirs accepted...

We are submitting our offer as a backup and have agreed to the seller's terms for that.

My question is, is there anything I can try and do to get this property? I understand once their contract was executed its binding but just looking for any and all ideas.

If they make it through the option period (June 15th) I would even consider reaching out to the buyer and offering to purchase the contract from them (or should I try this before option period expires?). Has anyone ever done this? If so, what is the best way to get ahold of a buyer like that?

Thanks for any advice.

Attempting to contact the buyer directly with the intent to interfere with their existing contract could constitute tortious interference, particularly if it's done before the option period expires. I hope your realtor is advising you on not contacting the buyer. I'd wait and see on this one.

Thanks for the response, would probably be through the listing agent.
