Anyone got a company that will handle an appeal for tax assessment in Fort Bend County? We went before the board and lost even though we provided full evidence but the single board panel guy literally didn't even look at our evidence and within 30 seconds of the other side arguing it he sided with them completely letting us know to just appeal if we didn't like it. He was just trying to move us along and move on to a full day of other hearings to get through.

By appeal, you mean binding arbitration? If you get another guy that literally doesn't even look at your evidence and within 30 seconds of the other side arguing it, sides with them, not only will you be back where you started, but also be out $500.

This attitude is part of the problem.
We all need to stand up to the insanity.
I have several friends and family that have gotten their $500 back and brought their valuations back to reality.

You know what our evidence was? That the single member panel didn't care for? Sworn testimony from our builder that the project wasn't even close to complete on Jan 1. Yet it was appraised at a few dollars HIGHER per sqft than the 2 next door properties that have been around for years. So not only appraised higher per sqft, it was appraised with an assumption construction was complete when it wasn't. Construction actually was completed in March with a permanent occupancy permit for April. So ya, I have a case imo for an appeal.
