We are on a two trip to Europe- started in Budapest will end soon n Prague. Every place we've been, several have asked where we're from, we say Texas, they say where, we say College Station , they "oh, Texas A&M…".

You know not a single person asked if we know where Lubbock is, if we've heard of tt or if we know Mahomes is. I think from a recognition perspective, we are in perfect shape.

Why LSU over A&M as a shoe in vs safe bet?

1. A&M has more eyeballs for TV
2. A&M has a bigger stadium and larger attendance
3. A&M has more money

Last year, A&M had the top attendance average in the SEC

Quote:

Texas A&M 102,847
Texas 102,386
Tennessee 101,915
Alabama 100,077
LSU 99,518
Georgia 93,033
Florida 90,017

Answer:

A: LSU is the only Louisiana school on the list
B: LSU has 3 nattys since 2000
C: Playing for nattys makes LSU a national brand (same thing has happened to Clemson)
D: As with Tech, the AD's balance sheet is way down the list of important qualities
E: Stadium attendance is way down on the list of important qualities
F: Other than the JFF year, A&M has underachieved relative to its talent since about 1999

LMAO. I guess last year they watched a regional team over that national brand. We got more views. You see, that means we were more popular. Nobody must give a **** about those three natties over the last 25 years or our "underachieving".

We deliver ratings. Proven ratings. Not some dumbass message board opinion.

Logic seems difficult to some.

LSU also delivers ratings. In fact, they have been doing so for years. Here's a graph from SportsMediaWatch.com showing the most viewed teams over the past 10 years. I get that you don't agree with my take. That's fine. But that doesn't make it illogical or dumb.

Surely, you're joking. Almost every European music fan knows about Lubbock. In fact, almost every time I'm in the Depot District here in town, I run into an European who has travelled just to visit Lubbock. Buddy Holly is a big name in that part of the world.

Not a one, sorry. Four countries, five cities, 120+ people on the boat, not a word.- no one in IAH mention you guys either- not even a tt tshirt or hat wearer. Still have two countries and four cities to go, I will keep you posted.

I'm glad you found an outlier, I know you will sleep better dreaming of him.

Wait, you went around Europe asking folks if they've heard of Lubbock and/or Mahomes? I don't think they would volunteer that information if not prompted.

LOL! You said "almost every European knows about Lubbock….". If that is really true, why would I need to ask if they knew about Lubbock, wouldn't they be asking me without having to be prompted? You troll so much, you confuse yourself. LOL!

Why would they be asking you about Lubbock? "Hey American friend, can you tell me about Lubbock?"

And for wearing caps and sportswear, is that even a thing in Europe? I don't recall many people in the parts of Europe I've been to wearing American sports gear.

Do European music fans know about the "Lubbock Tax," a crude term certainly not made up by me (look it up), whereby Tech must significantly pay fees over a recruit's market value in order to convince him to move to a west Texas hellscape?

I mean...I like west TX, dirt and oil in the air smells like money, but it's an acquired taste.

---
and besides putting millions into the hands of 17yr olds, Tech built the largest contiguous* football facility in the country. So the kids don't have to go outside.

* to be occasionally confused with contagious (raider rash)

Look, I've been to every part of this state and while Lubbock isn't the most glamorous, you can't rank cities like College Station/Bryan, Waco, or Midland/Odessa above it. And the true hellscapes are the metro-disasters of Dallas and Houston, with Austin and San Antonio close on their heels.

If you think that type of crap is over at the 40, you're in denial. Heck, just last year DPS had to clear out a bunch of y'all protesting for Hamas. Y'all probably have a statue of Jane Fonda cheering on the VC tucked away somewhere on campus.

Wait, why the 40 teams? It'd make more sense for there to be 64 teams, as far as keeping everything binary. NFL with 32 teams just... feels right.
