appears to have lost that dog in him. But man is golf just freaking humbling game!
He's now -6 through 8. Which includes a bogey. He and Cam are both -2 overall.zephyr88 said:
Sam having a good day today in Round 2.
He's -5 thru 8 holes before play was suspended due to lightning.

I bet Cam finds his way onto LIV if he doesnt get his card back... former winner on the tour and bigger name then most other Korn Ferry guysMAROON said:
The three guys immediately before Sam have not earned their card
Looks like two went to LIV immediately

I hate it for him, but it looks like he lost his game over the off season. It's been tough to follow. I feel for him...
Around 2000 there was a Longhorn player who won the US Am and I don't believe he ever got his tour card.Seven Costanza said:
I could look, but I wonder how many US Amateur champions in the past 40 years never earned a PGA Tour card. Wouldn't be shocked if it were 0.

yeah it's going to take a win or runner up to undo his poor start. Best case is play himself into another Korn Ferry card next yearAg_07 said:zephyr88 said:

I don't follow him as close as others on here but judging by the sentiment of this thread it sounds like he's quite a ways off.
I'm an eternal optimist... look at his cards.Ag_07 said:zephyr88 said:

About midnight I knew I'd spoke to soon after doing the math. Still had to wait around for 60+ to finish this a.m.basic8 said:
Because of weather and play suspennsions, he basically played 36 today. Came back with clean card on 2nd round after a 70, Shot 65. Made cut when looked impossible.
Imo, clean cards are his ticket on these target courses.
Don't give up on him.. It's golf.. He can play. He's not Aberg, but he's learning to be a pro.
