Will be moving kiddo up to first apartment in CS in mid August. Wondering a few things:

Course/Greens conditions?

Is driving range back up and running?

Aeration of greens status?

Has anyone played there recently that could lend some info on the above?

If it's unplayable I can probably host you at Pebble Creek. I know it's not as close to campus but it's an option.

Played this immediate past Sunday. Greens and fairways were perfect. The playing rough (fairway adjacent) is thick and a little too tall. You can lose your ball in it, and they have recently narrowed the fairways in some places. The tall "hazard" rough has been mown and is playable. Bunkers are hit or miss.

Overall, a great course, especially for the price.

Played there June 18th. Greens were not in great shape in my opinion. The bunkers were worse. I had not played it in over a year and it wasn't in great condition.

New Info:

Aerification of the course is Aug 4-6. We are planning on playing weekend of 8/16. Since I don't play this course but 1-2 times a year, how fast does this course's greens recover? I've seen some be puttable much faster than others, with some taking several weeks before the Bouncing Bettys stop.

10-12 days wont be enough time for the greens to recover. You'll get your hops still but it wont be terrible. If its the only option(which is typically the case in BCS) then i would still play. I believe Briarcrest aerated last week as well.

Played 3 times over the summer most recently 2 weeks ago and what I have to share is of the utmost importance.

The fire ants are out of control. They are everywhere. Got bit each time I played there until I was mad enough to say not coming back for a while, and I love that course.
