The whole thing is a sham. Once the organization that blew 5 to 7 billion pulled the plug it was OVER. You dont have a business model. Team golf was never a thing that moved the needle. Go away.

Seriously. He's gone back and forth several times. Who wouldn't feel good about investing millions with this guy lol

Sounds like the Saudis agreed to fund the purses for the remaining events but just the purses, not the operating expenses necessary to put them on.

Bring the LIV golfers back to the states/PGA. I barely recognized any of the names on the leaderboard of the colonial this year. And I used to go to that tournament back in the early 2000's. Got to see Stewart, Tiger, Sorenstam, Crenshaw, Kite, Mickelson, and a host of other top golfers of that era. Now it seems like a shadow of its former self. And that's a shame.

A lot of that has to do with the elevated event schedule in place now that the PGA Tour put into place, not necessarily with the golfers that left. Now, you could say the whole reason that the elevated thing even happened was as a reaction to LIV, so at the end of the day it's still somewhat those golfers' fault.

Golf changed since 2000 also. More talent than ever so the shelf life of the average golfer has shorted significantly. The Kenny Perrys of the 2000 tour aren't making the same impact today. Next man up.

Report today that Rahm is hoping LIV misses a payment (as is rumored they might) so he can exit his contract immediately.

Thankfully, the HyFlyers have depth.

Is this confirmed as the reason why he hasn't been playing or different?

No. The health issue is still out there, likely his wife. He's not skipping 2 majors because he copped a feel, but he is a complete assbag thru and thru.

Financial Times

LIV Golf cannot stay out of the headlines and the latest came Thursday when the Financial Times reported that Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) has only funded a third of what the league needs to cover for the rest of this season.

The report says that LIV Golf needs $600 million to make it through the end of its 2026 schedule. The PIF has only delivered just short of $200 million$66 million in early May, $130 million in early Junesince news broke in April that it would stop funding the tour after the end of this year. The Financial Times report cites two people close to the situation who said that the PIF's incentive to spend more money for LIV Golf "would diminish the longer LIV went without securing a new backer." LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil has been vocal about saying he and other top officials are actively seeking investors for the league to continue beyond this year.
