I have an A/C lineset that was installed terribly and I want cover it with a sheet metal enclosure. Does anyone have a place in Houston that does this type of work?

I can't recall exactly where I saw it, but one supplier was offering these line set covers in colored UV-Resistant PVC in 2 sections where you mount the base and snap on the cover.

I assume you get the color that matches your trim or your bricks.

If I can remember where I saw this, I'll update the post.

As for sheet metal ones -- yes, I've seen those (usually in what appears to be galvanized or stainless steel) and they tend to stand out, but that may not be a concern to you.

In any case, these days most sheet metal guys are pretty 'proud' of their work, especially a when doing a small job.

If the colors don't match, you can order the "paintable metal" option.

Most hvac supply have pvc cover sets. Think metal mart. Pioneer and muller have metal options. My hvac installer motto was level, square and plumb you get none.

Thanks for that link to the metal covers in multiple colors. That's good to know.

I also got the impression from the reviews that the seller will even make a custom size if you need it, like when the installer leaves a good size gap between the wall and the line set.

Is that another way of saying your installer was a bit sloppy when it came to aesthetic appearance?
