I'm going to co-sign on this. The CG has planes, helicopters, boats, ships, MK19s, .50 cals, and body armor.

We all have our funny intra service rivalries and jokes. But your whole perspective of the Coast Guard changes when they rescue you from the Gulf of America at night. CG money is no good in any bar I'm in.

Actually, the Space Force does have streamers. From where I do not know, unless some from the Air Force transferred over when the Space Force was stood up.

Just like the Air Force took streamers that the Army Air Corp earned when they broke off.

It is puzzling to me why Space Force would have streamers. In contrast, I don't see a disconnect from Army Air Forces to Air Force transition because those same units engaged in combat. Many current fighter and bomber squadrons began under AAF.

BTW, while many referred to the Army Air Corps (with an S), it became the Army Air Forces in June 1941, six months before the attack on Pearl Harbor. My Dad referred to it as Air Corps even though he when in Feb '42. It might be like our saying AMC instead of AMU in my days at A&M being in Fall '67

Oh boy. Apologies for sacrilege, blasphemy, and making fun of Kuwait "deployments". Actually I regret nothing. Enjoy or not.

Those streamers were earned by the ARMY, regardless of whether they were called the Army Air Corps or the Army Air Forces....They were ARMY. Any streamers earned by the Air Force should be those awarded after the Air Force was formed. Not throwing shade at the Air Force, its just a peeve of mine that the Army lost streamers and glory that they earned.
