Hell of a brewery in downtown McMinnville if you are a lager fan. Everything was excellent. Neat little taproom to boot. The 2 in the pic were the best to me, and German Pils and a Schwarzbier. The other 2 in the back were 2 different festbiers.

Edit to add: Forgot to mention the brewery, it was Foreland.

Here's a side by side with the real ones. Build quality on the mid sized is really good. Much better than the full sized replicas at this point.

Headed back out to San Diego this weekend - hit Societe & Ballast Point last time, thinking Belching Beaver & Lost Abbey Church bar among others this time ... any other must hits? Other good beer bars with a view in Ocean Beach, Coronado, LaJolla or Del Mar?

Also, The Neighborhood bar looks like a good spot to grab some food with Pliny and other RRBC's on rotation

Not in those spots but I'm a fan of pure project. Also I always had a good time at the hotel bar at the Del whenever we stayed there when we were at Coronado. Good time watching us beat bama there a few years ago.

Cool, looks like Pure Project has a few different spots around town.

Def planning on going over to Coronado and hanging around the Del a bit - had a great time over there last time.

Monk's Cafe in Rittenhouse Square - Belgian beers at the back bar, IPAs (almost always some Russian River stuff) at the front bar, and regular tables in the middle to eat mussels and frites.

Looks like they have a few Hill Farmstead on draft right now. A few years ago the owner was telling us about how he was going up to see them a lot because he was making a farmhouse ale with them. He is also really close with Vinnie.

You might want to call them just to be safe, but I'm pretty sure I've seen kids sitting at the tables in the dining section.

If you end up in north county:

Culver in Carlsbad
Camp Store in Carlsbad
Docent in Carlsbad village. It's actually a San Juan Capistrano brewery but but just opened this last year in Carlsbad

Camp store is actually awesome. Park at the Ralph's lot a quarterish Mile away and walk over.



If in La Jolla go to the Glider Port. They just opened a full bar. Can't beat the view. An Aggie built the newest fire station 52 for city of San Diego which is right there by UCSD….
