A 2015 Kapcsandy Roberta's Reserve merlot
Two bottles of 2015 Pleno gran reserva from Spain ... great inexpensive wine
Two bottles of 2019 Cornerstone Oakville Station red blend
And a 2022 Shafer TD9 cab

I was really ready to spend some cash this time around but overall, I was disappointed in the selection offered.

We went for the 2000 Leoville Poyferre. I made a NY strip for me and a filet for the wife. We had some roasted garlic mashed potatoes on the side.

The wine was excellent. Definitely drank younger than 25 years. Tannins were very well integrated. A lot of gasoline/pencil shavings when we first opened it, but it smoothed out a lot after a few minutes of air. Black licorice and dark berry flavors. Decent acid in the wine as well. Really enjoyable.

Generally well balanced and plenty of life left but was humming tonight!

They followed up with some nice vintage Napa offerings today from Elivette today!

Detert east block is the oldest section of vines from the 40s. You want this over the normal bottling.
