Totally agree on their price and variety in the list. When we were there Sunday night they had 20% off all bottles, not sure if that's every Sunday or just a special they were running that day.

Opened a magnum I got from a lasbottlarahon a few years back. 2011. Aged nicely. Crowd pleaser.

Man, if you have any more Petroni, I will buy it from you… I fell in love with it after a last bottle marathon and I'm down to my last two bottles. Makes me sad that you can't get any more since they closed down.

Yea those Petronis were pretty good and a heck of a deal. Ours are since long gone.

Had a nice dinner this week at Pappas, started with a tasting with Bruce Philips of Vine Hill Ranch, he poured the 17, 21, 23 and a new secondary bottling the made for restaurants only- which was really good for $85.

Does anyone know anything about Orymuse wine cabinets? Our second hand Nfinity is on its death rattle, so we're having to replace it soon. The Orymuse has good reviews on Amazon, but I wanted to see if anyone here has experience with them.

We brought back a 2013 Maybach Amoenus from Napa and shared last night with our friends. Also enjoyed some Viognier.
Viognier gets a bad wrap in circles, but it can really deliver a nice wine.
Most of the time it's picked at a high brix which results in a big flabby white wine.
This is a very good cool climate California Chardonnay. If I didn't know where it came from, it could pass as a Burgundy.
Pardon the bright AF lighting, poured this while cleaning the kitchen. Excellent Burg. Lovely balance between that tart, tertiary style with some lively fruit to balance it out. If I had one word to describe this I would say balanced.
I found a pretty good deal on the 2012 Salon at Total Wine in College Station today so naturally I bought all they had…which was only one.
That reminds me I forgot to post about this champagne recently. Pardon the broken lip. This was a 100% Chardonnay champagne and the fruit really came through on it.

How was the Dunn?
Old Dunn is my favorite. It was still young, fruit was strong, had a nose of old saddle or cedar. It was neck and neck with the ridge for wine of the night.
I've never had a Trimbach anywhere close to that old but have heard they sing. Was that one still there or past its prime?
Same here. Old Dunn, old Ridge MB, and old Dalla Valle are my favorites Napa wines. Starting next year, my first purchases of Ridge MB turn 20 and so I'll have that going for me, which is nice. I'll likely age those 20 and 25 years.

yes, we have some RM overflow issues at the house. The Sonoma coast Pinot is our "house wine" so we load up every year.
I've never had that label. We love BdB so I'll give it a try. I'm about to buy a few cases of 2012 and 2013 Champs. I'm still working out what I want to buy and where to find good prices.
Some oddball wines at Ezov in Austin last night. Both were excellent with dinner.

It was a 98, shared by another collector I knew in the restaurant.
