I'd listen to the finals if Dave South was calling it.
Depends on playing time. But a ring would be awesome for Caruso and for Texas A&M.AggieCVQ said:
I'll consider him being OK on his 4th ring.
The big deal for Caruso will be if he can make it to the next contract (got to play 1 more year at or even near this level)... He should get some serious bucks on the deal.WestTxAg16 said:
Quite a bit of money to play a sport he's passionate about. 45-50% in taxes + agent fees. Still $1MM+/yr with I'm sure some bonus options and potential endorsements. So quite a bit more than I make..EAD 65 said:
Glad for Alex but how much does he actually pocket after California taxes, agent fees and US taxes??
LeBron will make sure Caruso gets a great deal. He's in great position.Aston04 said:The big deal for Caruso will be if he can make it to the next contract (got to play 1 more year at or even near this level)... He should get some serious bucks on the deal.WestTxAg16 said:

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers may even consider re-signing Alex again this off-season in exchange for more years on the contract (at a discount). Could be tempting for Alex to make sure to lock in set for life money.

Now who's being naive, Kay?
while I did think he would make it in - and make more career $ than ANYBODY on this site putting him down - I do believe that it is unlikely he makes the HOFDecay said:

Take it easy on him. He's an arsenal fan. Notoriously horrible talent evaluators.

The salary cap favors the journeyman for the multi-star teams.Pumpkinhead said:
If 4 1/2 years ago when this thread was started, I had predicted that Alex Caruso would in a few years be starting for the Los Angeles Lakers in an NBA Finals Game 6 with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, replacing Dwight Howard in their rotation, and with Rajon Rondo coming off the bench to play with him as another PG...and after winning an NBA Title, in the post-game interview would say something about 'wanting to win it for LeBron'...would have been certified by this board as 'delusional'.
I mean, just read what I typed above...for an undrafted FA coming through the G-League like Caruso to have accomplished the above, it is an insane success story...odds of some undrafted FA/G-Leaguer pulling off the above must have been like a million-to-one odds.

Alex giving a shout out to a teammate whose path to the NBA makes Alex's own journey look downright easy. 10 years in the D league is a lot of bus rides.
