agree... But I think he can stay near 40 percent. He doesn't need to jack up guarded shots like in the g league.Seven Costanza said:
He did shoot 50% from 3 (on 50 attempts) after being called up by the Lakers, but he was shooting 27% from 3 for the year on his G League team prior to being called up (some of that was likely based on having to jack up bad shots to bail his team out at the end of the shot clock - he had over 4 attempts a game and was probably the best player on his team). I'll be rooting for him and hope I'm wrong, but I think his shooting comes back down to the 32-35% range from 3 this year.

Well, getting a minimal two-year 2.75mm deal is nice, but that's not making it in the NBA. Talk to me when he gets a max deal.
You could even buy a house in LA with one of those yearly salaries!rosstradamas70 said:
there are a remarkable number of folks STILL in denial! WOW! so making over 21/2 Million a year is somehow still "not making it"? just admit you were wrong and move on with life fellas!

Not athletic enough to get to the rim in the NBA and his size for an off-the-ball player (and he isn't an NBA PG) is nothing special.
This is what 'not athletic enough to get to the rim in the NBA' apparently looks like...

I went back and read the last few posts, since he signed the deal, and literally nobody has said this.rosstradamas70 said:

Glad for Alex but how much does he actually pocket after California taxes, agent fees and US taxes??

If he starts dating a Kardashian/Jenner would that also count as 'making it'.
His only shot is Kourtney.Hop said:Pumpkinhead said:Hop said:

Now THAT would impress me.

Caruso is not and has never been a legit nba player. But I wish him best.

Great Aggie. Acceptable college player. Will not even get a summer league invite.
And yet your comment would be meaningless if they didn't....wait a second....rlb28 said:

You don't think so? On several occasions, we've had posters say that Kennedy can't improve our poor ft shooting or build a semi-decent offense because he doesn't have 3pt shooters. Obviously you can't fix everyone, but a good shot doctor and a whole lot of practice can do a lot for both.
Anyway, not interested in derailing a pretty funny bump full of so much fail, but it did make me laugh a bit that our "not a true point guard" is now playing PG in the nba.
Alex learned to shoot in the NBADL. That's exactly what it's for. To take prospects and develop them for the NBA. then apply the skills in summer league for display. Alex is a hard worker and willing learner.Quote:
The D-League did exactly what it is supposed to do. Of course, it requires Hard Work and Time, as I've outlined numerous times. The NBA reserves player development and instruction to D/G League and on display in the Summer League. there aren't many practices once the 82 game season gets rolling, and isn't a classroom.
And then one page prior, same poster:Quote:
#98 prospect. Caruso is not going to the NBA, except as a free agent. Possibly if he played for Madrid for 3-4 years.
NBADL would be a waste of time.
*confused*

Yeah, Alex IS a 21st Century NBA PG. All-time assist leader here and 2 year leader in the SEC.
