As stated before, to be good you need to be very skilled or a dawg. We have moved from dawg or dawg adjacent players to more skilled players. I think qualification status pending, Agee looks like the front runner with Fed Fed as runner up.

Yeah we definitely flipped the sliders there on what we're looking for. Agree that Agee is definitely the front runner.
I dunno on Fed. Doesn't seem like much of a dawg on tape. Holloway has some dawg-ness to him. It would be nice if Vinson turned into a dawg. Griffen needs some more dawg than he's shown in the past.
I think Agee is def top dawg, and then I like Holloway.
Isaacs has some interesting dawg qualities but his game doesn't have that overall physicality that you normally see from dawgs. He does have some of that "annoys the **** out of the other team" factor.

I don't expect him to have any dawg-ness at all but it's still hard to wrap my head around what kind of player to expect Dominguez to be. We're talking about a 22-year old (he's five months OLDER that Wade Taylor) that's been playing professional basketball for a couple of seasons against straight up grown men.
(For reference and a fun fact, he played for Bilbao last season, which Antanas Kavaliauskas also played for in '13-'14, seven years after he graduated from here.)

My Dawg of the Year prediction is Rashaun Agee. I hope he gets his waiver approved, because he is so much fun to watch.

Marcus Hill has some dawg in him.
Yeah Hill and Holloway both have some dawg to their game. Really so does Jacari Lane we'll just have to see if it plays at this level.

I'm solely basing my Fed pick on that one possession where he had like six offensive rebounds
If Fed is a dawg we should be in business next year. I kinda worry that we're going to be a little soft, especially if Agee isn't cleared.

I don't think Fed is soft, more that the team overall might be. I don't think he's particularly soft, just more that he's not physically strong enough to be a dawg around the basket like Payne was.

Kid seems like a good Ag for sticking around through the coaching change, and I wish him the best, but it seems unlikely that he sees playing time this year with the talent we brought it
That does seem to be the consensus thinking. I'm not sure why tho. Looked good the few x we saw him last yr as a true fish which is almost unheard of with Buzz. Was Houston metro PoY in his sr hs season which is no small feat. He has good size and looked to be in great shape - thick but not fat.
I think McDermott could play but I haven't seen any dawg-ness to him.
Where would you have seen it tho? He played what … 30 mins all season last year.
