I will say I think LSU baseball is less obnoxious than LSU football. They still brag about that 2019 title and 50-7 but baseball is more "business as usual"

I think many are also pissed at the SEC, and having to deal with t.u. and their gift-wrapped first season; this has pushed many to pick teams outside of the conference to cheer for. More than ever before.

And it's a rivalry, so hatred plays a role.

I'd rather LSU over Arkansas any day, though. At least LSU baseball fans are knowledgeable.

Most Aggies haven't been to a game at the Box, so their interaction with LSU fans is usually associated with football. Older Aggies in particular had their impression of LSU fans formed back when A&M was in the SWC, and it was not a good one. I would say that even LSU football fans have mellowed a bit (it costs too much for the real trashy fans to go nowadays), but there is still a distinction between LSU football fans and LSU baseball fans.

When it comes to games at Olsen, it seems like there used to be a lot more LSU fans show up when we first joined the SEC, probably because they expecting to roll over A&M. But as results over the years have shown that its a very even series, those front running trash talkers have been less and less numerous each time.

I don't want the winner of the LSU vs Arkansas game to win it all, but I would rather have Arkansas win their first world series title than LSU win their 8th title (1991,1993, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2009 and 2023) and 2nd in 3 years.

The way I look at it is lsu will always have the baseball history over mostly anybody. Another title doesn't change that

Ok I can get with this idea. I've never been to the Box. My experience has been with two games in Death Valley in 88 and 92 and to say the experience was substandard is a gross understatement
LSU fans do seem a little better these days. The biggest A holes in that fan base are the 50 and 60 somethings that were A hole students back in the 80s

LSU has the two best pitchers in this tournament, as long as they stay in the winner's bracket they will win their second national championship in three years and 8th overall. Jay Johnson is quickly becoming one of the best coaches in the country.

I think there was a perception that he won his national
Championship in 2023 with a lot of Mainieri's players plus the cheat code that is Paul Skenes (of course he does get credit for recruiting him in the portal). He is proving that perception dead wrong and if he wins it all again this year he's probably going to be thought as the best coaches in the country, and yea probably top 3 right now no matter what

I can see that, though without the pcs JJ brought in LSU does not win it all in '23 for sure. Skenes, Hurd, White, Cooper, Ackenhausen, & Jobert amongst a few others played huge roles in Omaha.

If he keeps it up he might have a Bertman 90's type decade in the 2020's which everyone has been saying is impossible to do in modern college baseball
