I thought those smores nachos looked pretty good.
How are the concessions prices for those who have been?
Absolutely fantastic!!!! Concessions were very good and very reasonable
Exactly. They'll do their best to avoid pitches if there's no armor. When they started armoring up it virtually neutered pitchers coming inside. Honestly as a pitcher in that situation they only way you can send a message any more is by going up and in and that's dangerous all around.StinkyPinky said:Bone bruises are no joke. A sound deterrent.Sean98 said:How about a middle ground... We take the armor off the elbow and if they get hit above the strike zone, over the plate and they wear it then it hurts like a MFer and they have to stay at the plate and continue to hit. A ball is a ball... It shouldn't be a strike. But taking the armor off the elbow will stop almost all of what we hate and this.RED AG 98 said:
I'm good with this too. The only modification I'd offer is just that "strike zone" in this case should just be over the plate or not, without any concern for height. The main thing I want to get rid of is getting a free base after getting hit on the elbow hanging over the plate, and a pitch there isn't usually going to be a strike.
If you're healthy enough to play, you play...RED AG 98 said:
Works for me, but I just don't see that happening.
Say a kid hurts his elbow or hand in legitimate fashion, during an actual swing or running into a wall on defense or sliding (Jace and Sorrell recently, Altuve at the WBC, Bagwell and The Kid back in the day…)
We gonna keep those guys from wearing some kind of armor over a real injury? Pretty sure that answer is no, in which case the slippery slope gets slippery-er.
I could offer another alternative- you want the free base, fine. But first you have to stand against the wall behind the catcher and the pitcher gets one shot at you 1990s Wall Ball style.

But I'm good with that last part as well. Only I want to hit him while he's on first base. Get him a little closer.

Do you think kids these days ever played wall ball the way we did? Or broke bones playing red rover?
