I'm all for the players wanting a change, just hate to see it totally go away. Wonder if there is a time to play it, between innings or something. Just to keep it alive in some way.

Growing up, half the section had their backpacks with them after coming straight over from class. They had snacks, Twinkies to pass out if there were any XL players on the other team, and several were studying in the stands an hour before the game.

It's actually one of the fondest memories I have at the ballpark when I was in elementary. It made Olsen truly feel like a home away from home.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I thought that song should've been a one year thing in 2024. It was a moment in time with that specific team, and now especially that Schott is gone it makes sense to retire it.

Especially if the current team doesn't want it.

I get that, but that song was born from an inside joke on that team to annoy our former coach who begrudgingly let them have fun and use it. I don't think it's exactly apples to apples.

I used to bring in freebirds and the green apple cokes from HEB in my backpack.

Normally I'd agree with you, but whenever I drive the bus and the Bog plays on my speaker people always bring up baseball. I think the Bog was such a big hit that it cemented itself as something that should stay. Kinda like bubbles did

Have to agree. Bring back the Bog! If the players are the ones that have issue with it, I'd like to hear why. Surely someone can show them the benefits of keeping a corny awesome and fun song that has become Olsen Field when the Ags hit a HR. My kids will also be very disappointed. We're coming a the UGA series for spring break. So, if anything....
