This reminded what happened last night. A bunch of kids, who have clearly been to Aggie baseball camps, mobbed Hutch for autographs last night. Mine included.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened! If the team wants something new, then so be it. Still a fun song to listen to!

I know that, but we bring bubbles… we don't control the music. What I'm getting at is we don't have to make every little thing a tradition. If the kids want to round the bases to something different we don't have to make it a tradition just because it was fun in the moment.

With the exception of Travis Chestnut's walk up song, there isn't any fan involvement like we used to have in years past (ie Ali Camarillo). I've listened to Turbulence a few times since this started and it's not drawing me in either. But if the boys can win with it…then I can try my best to learn the 5 or 6 words to this new tune.

This might be the best thing on this thread. Hutch definitely deserves to be celebrated!

Oh but that song was selected by the players in spite of him. He didn't choose it. He did choose initially to move away from The Rifleman.

However, happy to put POS in the past. I don't like the new HR song and glad to know it will just change again in a year.

What if we played Rattlin Bog continuously in the t.u. dugout while they're here?

I think even the players could get behind that. Though Swingin' is a much funnier choice.

I was simply pointing out that the Rifleman and Bubbles were not entirely and organic creation of the fans. I agree we don't need to hold on to every little thing but Rattlin' Bog seems to be something most of the fans really seem to enjoy so why ditch it before its time?

Because the music selection is usually more about what the players want and they are wanting to move on from it. My guess is they are trying to create their own identity as a team, which is actually not really a guess because that's exactly what the players have said.

Usually music selection is made by the person playing the music. The only music selection the players make is their own walkup songs. The Rattlin Bog was actually something of an exception. I don't recall players ever making song requests before that.

Perhaps the new tradition is not necessarily the Rattlin Bog but actually the fact that the players are picking the music. Lol.

All this time I thought ballpark music was to create an ambiance, to get fans into the game. Even walk-up songs were not initially picked by the players and were for the most part consistently more fun than what the players picked.. I understand not wanting things to get stale and if this team wants to move on and form their own identity which seemed to occur with their dugout celebrations; Pringles to hotel luggage cart to last seasons Green Jacket, fine. If so, what is the new song?

The new tradition is the friends we made along the way.

You guys are making way too big of a deal about this.

I'm actually surprised they didn't ditch it before this season started.

It was fun deal that the team latched onto when we were on our run to the title series, and I understand keeping the mojo going last year when we were preseason #1, but we failed to make the tournament, so perhaps it's best left behind.

Cool of them to make something of their own, and whatever we can do at Olsen to juice the batters and get the team pumped for some big flies, I'm all for, let's just keep winning.

That would have been a wiser move. Best to have let it fade away between seasons like many of the other situational songs that are no more at Olsen.

I agree. When Rob was here AC/DC rung out. Changed with schlossdoushnaggle. And I feel that's within its rights to continually change. The fans make Bluebell what it is. The music doesn't make the atmosphere. If I showed up to the park tomorrow and they never turned the music on I would still love Aggie baseball just as much. And would still be 100% into the game!
