Figured I make a thread for our schedule since it'll hopefully be announced in the next coming days or weeks! We only know one of our non conference matches so far. It's against Minnesota which is part of the American Volleyball Coaches Association First Serve Event which showcases some top teams against each other to kick off the season!

Historically Jamie has played the RPI game, he looks for mid majors who are seemingly favorites to advance to win their conference and advance to the tournament! He'll also throw in a huge match to boost the RPI like us playing at Wisconsin last year! We'll have the neutral site against Minnesota, but I'm hoping we get another power 4 match!

We also host an invitational here on campus. Jamie talked last year how year by year he wants to increase the competition level of the home tournament so I'm anxious to see which 3 teams come here!

Our RPI should be fine. We'll play some good SEC teams to maintain our RPI at a high level

I also really like how we get the two toughest sec opponents at home in tu and Kentucky! The conference schedule plays out really well in my opinion! Aside from those two pivotal games at home, we get an easy stretch to go 4-0 before Kentucky and a manageable stretch between Kentucky and tu. However it's not ideal having a tough road stretch to end the season but I hope by then (well way before then) that we're firing on all cylinders and pick up some quality road wins!

Now that there's 16 teams, nobody will play each other twice! I think it's cool and evens out the playing field that we get to see everyone just once!

I think of we manage an 11-4 or better in conference play that we could be in line for a hosting spot! Possibly even 10-5 given we'll start the year ranked high. But I'm projecting we go 13-2 or 12-3!

It's a friendly schedule in that we get Kentucky and tu at home. From what I've seen Florida's been depleted with girls transferring out. I could see @Ole Miss being tricky leading up to tu. Obviously there will likely be an off night or 2, but who else would you see us dropping a game to?

I see us splitting the matches against tu or Kentucky! And possibly dropping one or two more with a slip up somewhere on the road. Playing it safe I say 12-3, but I could easily see us at 13-2! I'm still between those two!

I know Tennessee lost two huge pieces, but having them on the road after playing (and beating texas) will be hard unless we're rolling with confidence or pissed off after a loss

Jamie threw us a hint and mentioned that we will play SMU this fall! Not sure if it'll be a home or away match or even at a neutral site! But Minnesota and SMU are two huge non conference matches. If we take care of those, our RPI will be AMAZING! Close to 5 along with a perfect non conference schedule

Did they upend reserved vs. general admission tickets this season?

We've always purchased single game general admission and walked in and sat somewhere in 104-106 with the students standing down below the rail in those same sections.

We logged on today to purchase reserved season tickets and they had 104-106 all reserved with general admission being on the opposite side, behind the benches, in 120-122 or somewhere close to that.

Seemed weird and threw me/us off when choosing tickets...am I nuts or have they swap sides for GA/student seating this year?

they are swapping sides so that TV cameras will fall upon the students more.

And thanks for the inadvertent heads up that season tickets are on sale! I picked up two seats. only a handful left!
