Texas A&M senior guard Jared Hocker on Thursday announced he would turn down an extra year of eligibility to instead enter the NFL draft.

A 6-foot-6, 325-pounder from Birdville High School, Hocker came to A&M as a three-star rated prospect in 2017, but he quickly made an impact.

Hocker started twice during his freshman season in 2017 and then became a mainstay in the offensive line.

He started eight games as a sophomore before sustaining a season-ending injury. Hocker came back to start all 13 games at left guard in 2019 and switched to right guard this season.
