On Friday, Kaylee Dreyer took us Around Aggieland as one Aggie made their MLB debut. Women's basketball and Aggie baseball both earned team academic excellence awards, and two volleyball players were named to the Player of the Year watchlist.

Baseball
Former Texas A&M reliever Brandyn Garcia made his Major League Baseball debut after the Seattle Mariners selected his contract. He is the 66th Aggie to make their MLB Debut and the second this season following Jacob Palisch.

Texas A&M Baseball earned the team academic excellence award from the American Baseball Coaches Association for the fourth straight year. They posted a 3.28 GPA for the 2024-25 school year, joining eight other SEC programs on the list. Seventeen players also made the 2025 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll, and twenty freshmen earned spots on the First-Year list.

Women’s Basketball
The Texas A&M women's basketball team earned the 2024-25 WBCA Academic Honor Roll Special Mention distinction. The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs, including all student-athletes on their roster for the entire season. The Aggies finished with a 3.422 GPA to gain this recognition.

Volleyball
Texas A&M volleyball's Logan Lednicky and Ifenna Cos-Okpalla were named to the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Player of the Year Watch List. These seniors make the first Aggies to be named to the Player of the Year Watch List in program history, and they earned their second preseason recognition of the year, as they were also named to the Preseason All-SEC Team.
