
Around Aggieland (8/8)
On Friday, Kaylee Dreyer took us around Aggieland as the A&M men's basketball team announced their exhibition game and Aggie volleyball earned their highest preseason ranking. Texas A&M soccer dominated its exhibition match vs. the Rice Owls.
Men’s basketball
The Texas A&M men's basketball team will take on Arizona State on Sunday, Oct. 26 at the Fort Bend EpiCenter as part of The Preview College Basketball Exhibition event. This is the first time the Aggies and Sun Devils have met since the 2015-16 season, and to add to that, the last time Arizona State took on the Maroon & White in Texas, the Aggies pulled out a 72-71 win at Reed Arena.
Volleyball
Texas A&M volleyball earned its highest preseason ranking in program history, landing at No. 9 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Poll.
The program's previous best was set in 1997, where they landed at No. 13. It marks the Aggies' first appearance in the preseason poll since 2016, when they came in at No. 16. The Aggies will begin the 2025 season at the AVCA First Serve event on Aug. 25 versus No. 11 Minnesota.
Soccer
The Texas A&M soccer team dominated their exhibition match on Tuesday vs. the Rice Owls, 4-0. Their next exhibition match will be vs. UTRGV on Saturday, here at Ellis Field at 7:30 p.m.
