2026 Iowa Colony wide receiver Jayden Warren commits to Texas A&M

Mike Elko and the Fightin' Texas Aggies have welcomed the commitment of 2026 Iowa Colony wide receiver Jayden Warren. Equipped with 10.1 times in the 100m, Warren commits to the Aggies over Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Miami, Texas Tech and several others.

Texas A&M has added one of the fastest wide receivers in Houston to its 2026 recruiting class today with the verbal commitment of Iowa Colony standout Jayden Warren‍.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder was in College Station on an official visit when the Aggies hosted South Carolina. He had been committed to the University of Houston since July.

The flip in his pledge moves Mike Elko's haul this cycle to 27 in number. Warren's combination of speed and raw athleticism drew attention from across the country as he had reeled in offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Miami, Texas Tech and several others.

A sturdy, solid pass-catcher, Warren looks more like a running back than a wideout in terms of his build. On tape, though, the traits of an elite receiver begin to emerge. His 10.1 times in the 100m times show up both with and without the ball in his hands. He has consistently run by a lot of the top defensive backs on the southside of Houston for the better part of two full seasons now. He also shows physicality, toughness, and contact balance after the catch to go along with that pull-away speed.

You can view his highlights below.

Stay tuned. We'll have more soon for our TexAgs Premium subscribers

Great pickup!

Hard to tell from just highlights, HC or OC on short list for future staff maybe? Nice plays but that speed covers a multitude of sins, lol.

Elko is putting an emphasis on speed! Concepcion Bethel-Roman, and Craver obviously got it but even the reserves Williams and TK Norman are fast and shifty too! Same thing with the guys we are recruiting!

Still confusing how U of H got the top QB in the nation to commit. Personal ties of some sort I guess.

For the same reason Vanderbilt, SMU, and Texas Tech have good teams. It's a new age where you can't stockpile talent on your bench anymore. Kids can get paid starter money at smaller schools and then move elsewhere if they are able to improve their position. Most of the ol' SWC schools have oil money donors, so they get to be players again - Vanderbilt was founded by the OG robber barons.

When Warren isn't playing football, he's spending time with family or fishing.

"Very well-grounded kid who focuses really hard on his studies. Outside of sports, he is a model student. He completes his assignments. He does what he's supposed to do around the house. Jayden is a climber. He definitely looks for the next best thing to accomplish. He looks for his next goal to conquer. That's what makes him such a really great kid. He's really humble with an excellent work ethic. He feels nothing should be given to him. That's what sets him apart as an athlete." -parent

The guy just single handedly murdered Pflugerville in the playoffs. 95-yd touchdown reception, punt return for TD, and kickoff return for TD. All in the first half, as he sat the entire second half since they were up 42-7 at halftime.
