Up early. Good weekend of college football. First, church this morning on a warm day in west Georgia/east Alabama.

A good day starts with good coffee.

An unexpected shower this morning. We need rain badly. Going to have a rotten fall foliage season if it stays dry like August was.

Have spent my day watching Barney Miller with baseball on mute. I've now watched 165 of 170 Barney Miller episodes and will finish the series later today. The writing on that show was stellar. They filmed eight seasons of the show and only 13 episodes have scenes outside of the main set (the squad room/Barney's office). That they were still able to be consistently interesting and entertaining is pretty incredible.


Will go grocery shopping shortly and then probably watch A&M's Michael Wacha pitch on one TV and put college football on the other.

Valid question, he is very important. He hasn't visited me lately since I got back from camp. We got out of our nightly routine and I haven't spent much time on the porch bc the mosquitos are swarming right now, so annoying.
