Eriza Verde is a gorgeous color in person as well. Honestly my favorite green I've ever seen on a guitar.

They are no doubt beautiful. My issue is I haven't played a PRS that I love the sound of, yet.

YET.

Well, I placed an offer but he wants too much. I'll keep watching to see how long it stays listed and will offer again in a month or two, if it doesn't sell.

This is an odd one. Don't think I've seen a stand like this before.

This is a tough one for me. Freaking love green guitars and I think I could get a great deal on this one, but I've just not played a PRS that speaks to me: https://reverb.com/item/92227552-prs-dgt-2023-eriza-verde-10-top-david-grissom

But it's hard to pass by a beautiful green guitar...

Same thing happened to me back at the beginning of the year.

That one is awesome. Looks like they used some black grain filler too. Jade Smokeburst or is that Eriza Verde in the middle too?

They called it Emerald Green Smokeburst. This one is a 10 top with an ebony neck.

I am looking for ideas for wall mounts. My son only has 3 guitars, 1 elec and 2 acoustic, but that could grow. He wants to mount them on his wall.

First, a question...is there any concern with having a nice acoustic out of the case for long periods of time in south Louisiana where humidity is a big thing?

Okay, ideas...

  • Hangers used?
  • Connected to a wooden board or something different??
  • He would like some sort of wall decor behind the guitars. What do you guys have?
Anyhow, if you could provide a few pics of ideas, it would be appreciated.

What's the humidity level in your house most of the time?
caleblyn

Not real sure. I don't have a reader, but I would say it fluctuates. He normally keeps the guitar in the case with some humidity packs.

I keep all my guitars out of their cases and I live in Houston. However, I do keep my house no warmer than 72 degrees, so I manage humidity that way. If they are very expensive guitars, it's worth some form of humidity control in the room. If they aren't over $2,000, then I wouldn't even worry about it. The guitars will be perfectly fine.

I use these Openhagen hangars. They ain't cheap, but they look good and operate well.
I have the opposite problem. Where I live it's bone dry. I just humidify my guitar room.

I bought the green PRS. The seller decided to come back and give me the deal I asked for last time.

We'll see if PRS can win me over.

Need bass strings? I don't recall ever seeing these on special.

Palm placement on it took a while to figure out. I honestly find it easier to play if I'm just strumming chords. That being said it's fun as hell to play

I don't know how much everyone has been following the guitar pricing conversations going on out there, but it's definitely becoming a buyer's market, right now.

If you were ever interested in a particular guitar, now is the time to start combing Reverb and offering low prices. To give you an example, the PRS DGT I just bought, which should be delivered today, I originally offered over 25% less than what he was asking. He countered with a 10% discount, but I told him the 25% discount was my max budget. He then reached back out a week later to offer me the original 25% discount from his listed price. Basically ended up getting this beautiful guitar, in excellent condition, for around half what a new DGT goes for, today.

The market is getting flooded with some great guitars. That's the only reason I bought this PRS so soon after recently purchasing my Novo Serus J. I got both at such a ridiculous deal, I couldn't pass them up.

I'm going to start looking at SG prices and some other models I've always wanted to own to deal hunt.

The writing's been on the wall for a while. Used and New inventory out there seems pretty stagnant. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to sell the Tremonti I've got up for a lot less than I want to and that's with being like the third cheapest on Reverb with the others barely underneath me. Looks like the COVID prices are finally evaporating.

Went to Maine recently, partly to visit my aunt after my uncle's passing. She plays acoustic guitar and is quite good. Found out that my uncle used to go up into northern Maine forests looking for old spruce lumber to be used for tone wood. He worked with Bourgeois guitars (https://bourgeoisguitars.com/about/ ) - my aunt showed me one of hers and it is gorgeous. Don't think I'll be buying one anytime soon though - they are $$. Maybe after retirement. My uncle was smart (degrees from Duke, CalTech, and Stanford), but I never knew he was into guitars. Maybe he enjoyed the science of finding the right wood, and supporting his wife's hobby.

Okay, NGD engaged!

Been playing for the last 45 minutes, but will spend a lot of time with it, this weekend.

Inital thoughts are the build quality is a 10/10, as well as that color. The neck shape is perfect. Not super slim but not chunky. Really toes the line of feeling solid in your hand while not hindering playing speed.

The sound is definitely giving me a blend of vintage PAF with more of that PRS note clarity. It's definitely a great sounding guitar, but if I A/B with my Les Paul, I still prefer the LP for a lot of classic rock.

Will be spending my time, getting to know this guitar over the weekend:

Speaking of prices dropping, this is a solid deal. It's like the Artist package version of my Stripped 58 and at this prices is $200 cheaper than what I paid for what I have. Only downside is he yanked out the 58/15 pickups. Probably a part of why he's having trouble selling.

You serious, Clark?

With the dings, no original pickups, and disconnecting the tone pots from the vol pots, I feel like he's asking too much.
Quincey P. Morris

Fair. Missed the tone pots thing. That's a relatively easy fix, but pulling the 58/15s and most likely selling them was a mistake.
Lathspell

Granted, I did the same thing with the CE Custom 24 that I used to have. I replaced the 85/15 pickups with a set of Duncans. I was ultimately able to sell both the guitar for a little more than I purchased it for and I sold the pickups, separately, for a great price.

Saw Isbell at the Ryman last night. He and Sadler are some damn good players. Also popped into Carter's to lust after their vintage Telecasters.
