The second heaven is very well attested to. While first-hand testimony is generally weak evidence, especially in metaphysics, this is where Fortean really helps: openness to non-material realities, search for consistencies across time and environment. More objectivity in understanding via subjective experiences.

Such ceremonies, which definitely can involve aliens, tend toward this: the "same" entities, experienced subjectively, like blindfolded people feeling an animal and then describing the same object differently.

This would not at all exclude "materialist" entities such as humans from existing on other planets - and even here, are we not embodied spirits, enduring still after our physical years?
