Very okay. Not near as good as Superman.

I really enjoyed both movies. I will definitely see them both again in the theater, but I think F4 has me wanting to rewatch more.

It never made sense to me why Disney didn't save FF for November. Just completely baffling, especially considering they only had a year to shoot it and do VFX, which is insane for a movie of this scale.

Weirdly, though, that may be a blessing for the superhero genre in the long run, re: superhero fatigue, seeing as the next superhero movie now isn't until June 26, 2026 with Supergirl. In the modern age, have we ever gone 11 months without a superhero movie?

They were trying to punk DC. And it backfired badly.

The Avengers to Iron Man 3 was a year.

10 months. TDKR came out 2 months after Avengers.
Well somehow I forgot about TDKR.

It probably hurt that this movie came out at the peak of social media becoming aware that Pedro Pascal is a weirdo. Hollywood has tried so hard the last few years trying to shoehorn him in as THE guy. Maybe they'll move on to someone more deserving.

I don't disagree... at minimum the Pedro fatigue is real. I'm pretty tired of seeing him in everything

He's definitely a bit overexposed right now, but the whole "weird" thing is a small minority of online posters looking for something to be mad about. I've never heard a negative thing said about him by anyone who knows him.

I did think his voice was weird in parts of this movie. I dunno if it's because in most things he's kind of going for a gruff lower pitched thing but the first time he talked in this movie I thought of the SNL skit he's in where he wakes up with the weird voice.

I thought he was going for a nerdier voice for Reed. It sounded off in a couple scenes.

Doesn't seem like a "small minority" kind of thing. My favorite clip was where he laid his hands on Willem Dafoe's wife and he looked like he wanted to punch him. Something is definitely off about that guy, but I guess we can agree to disagree on that.

If it wasn't for TexAgs I would never know anything about anyone in the entertainment biz

This? The Internet is outraged about a chin touch? Jesus Christ, do people just have no life whatsoever? Were you also upset when Pedro shoved his head inside of the woman's arms a few minutes later when she came and hugged him?

Yeah, in an interview he talked about how he was going for sort of a 60s science teacher vibe and that he had a hard time finding the right balance without it sounding too weird.

I've seen a few comments that also mention he seemed like he might have been neurodiverse, makes a lot of sense for the smartest guy on the planet might be a bit socially awkward.

I thought this was very ok.

Darth Vader would have force choked Galactus to death for how far away from earth he exited hyperspace. What the heck was that. Warp across the universe in hours, then spend a week crossing the solar system to earth? Silly.

The cgi baby was distractingly bad. As the parent of a toddler, some of the movie's content around them becoming parents hit, but a lot felt like they were leaning into tropes that they hoped would be funny and other parts made me wonder if anyone involved with this has ever had a baby before. They certainly did not know what a newborn looked like! Hearing them constantly say that having a baby won't change anything was the most hilariously stupid thing I've heard in a movie in years. Having a baby changes everything! If you want character arcs, that can provide them in spades.

I was impressed at the guts they were showing to kill Sue Storm and how that would challenge the surviving characters to show major character growth going forward, but then of course the magic baby brought her back to life. Death fake outs are lame.

The final plan to teleport galactus was the most obvious trap I've ever seen. "Hey galactus. We are going to momentarily blind you, but then just stand anround and watch as you step into a clearly marked triangle between 3 pylons while one of us stands next to a switch. Please proceed." Come on.

One moment Reed is opening a lava valve on Galactus' back and it seems to really hurt him, then we just never address that again. Lazy writing.

And then Sue Storm can push Galactus 12 city blocks anyway?

What is Johnny Storm's deal? Why was he on the crew? Is he a great scientific mind and linguist? I hardly know a thing about him or Ben after this movie. And Ben's flirting with the Jewish gal that never went anywhere - talk about clearly missing content.

Ok. Done griping.

The aesthetic was really fun. I loved the sound effect whenever Galactus' eyes turned blue, which sounds like such a minor thing, but it was a great sound effect. I thought they nailed the look of Galactus. The movie was often fun. But man… I don't think I'd recommend this one unless someone was a big comics or F4 fan.
Thanks and gig'em

I liked both for very different reasons but liked F4 more. Wont see them in theaters again but they were both highly enjoyable and a return to enjoyable comic book movies.
