Maybe Jericho? I guess not so much that it dropped off, but that is just ended after the second season. I guess the ratings were bad, but I liked the show.

I've never watched a second of it, but the Handmaids Tale went from very praised to an afterthought. Any insight there?

WW season 1 was amazing. Every season after was beyond terrible.

WW S1 was amazing. It's up there with S1 of True Detective. S2 was not as good, mainly because there was no way it could live up to or exceed S1. They had nowhere to go but down. S3 went off the rails so badly it was almost unbelievable they did that to themselves. And then they doubled down on bad with S4. S4 was so bad it got the show cancelled.

Not only cancelled, but removed from streaming. I agree season 1 was great

I have mixed feelings about season 4. The Russia storyline was the worst of the entire series, yet the rest was mostly great. We also had what I think is the best character on the show with Eddie, but the runtime if the season finale was ridiculous.

Weeds started out pretty good, but was a disaster by season 4 once their house burned down and they had to move. I have no idea how they made it through 8 seasons.

I had zero interest in watching House of Cards without him in it. The wife was fine in a secondary role but the thought of her carrying the entire show without him in it did not sound enjoyable.

I stuck with it but the last couple seasons were just stupid.

I thought the Mandalorian sucked the last two seasons and I didn't even bother to finish the final. It seemed like Favreau lost interest.

Thinking about For All Mankind and wondering what everyone thinks the worst series is as far as going from the highest of highs in the beginning to the lowest of lows by the time it ended. Hit me with your best/worst!

I think GoT did a pretty good exponential drop there at the end, but I can't imagine its even in the top 5 though.

Ya in terms of peak to valley, it's Game Thrones. The last mono cultural moment in the US was completely obliterated.

I don't know if this is the correct thread, but I have never felt so stupid as i did after watching The OA on Netflix. Even as it got more and more absurd at the end, my wife and I kept telling ourselves that surely there was going to be some big crazy payoff that ties it all together. Something magical.

Nope, instead, we got this....

I was LIVID. But shame on me for falling for it...should have listened to my gut and hit eject sooner.

Does Season 2 even attempt to explain this? Not that I would ever watch another second of this show, just curious.

There's a great podcast out there where you find out Lindeloff told ABC he wanted to end the series after 3 seasons (with the we have to go back cliff hanger) and ABC's offer was 10 seasons, so they came up with 6 and he admits there was a bunch of filler.

I was prepared to crown GoT but I forgot about this. Definitely Heroes without a doubt.

Dexter was pretty rough as well.

Umbrella academy was awful.

Homeland got worse and worse and I quit watching when they killed off Q.

I think the more rare question is which series actually went out on top because I rarely think of anything besides breaking bad.

Even before his scandal, I checked out on this show with the sitting Congressman tossing a reporter onto the train tracks happened. That was a very early jump the shark moment for me personally

Re: Seinfeld - will agree that last two episodes - the Puerto Rican day parade and the finale - were pretty bad to awful. The final season up to that point was okay as I remember it. Still haven't watched Mad Men and Family Ties was so long ago I can't remember anything specific.

That was one of the most WTF/shocking TV moments ever for me. Show went downhill pretty rapidly after though...even before the Spacey-less season it was pretty unwatchable.

Yellowstone turned into a ridiculous soap opera after the first couple of seasons. Landman season 2 was a steaming turd. Adding Sam Elliott was lame. Hearing him whine and cry through a whole season got very tiresome. Not sure if I will tune in to season 3. Will probably wait and see if folks say it got back on track before wasting my time.

My top two is Yellowstone and Ozark. Loved them both and then couldn't ready for them to be over because they both had gotten so stupid. Shame
