The three biggest reasons it's hard for the story take off are media coverage, both distortion of the story and lack of coverage; it's less salacious than other current stories that are captivating people; and it's harder to follow the timeline with the large number of actors and events occurring in a such a short period of time.
The people running the operation are experts that threw the kitchen sink at a large number of people in Trump's orbit. They weaved a web that's hard for a majority of the country to grasp and it's been almost a decade since everything happened.
Have followed this thread since 2017, but still need a refresher on things that haven't seen the light of day for 5 years. It's almost impossible to follow for someone first hearing about what went down with Flynn, Carter Page, Papadopoulos, Alfa Bank, ham radios, Trump Tower meetings, DNC email leaks, foreign assets, 5 Eye participation, FISA abuse, presidential daily briefings, White House meetings, Strozk-Page texts, and the background information on the underlying intelligence used to predicate everything.
