Russia is definitely increasing their missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, several hundred a night. 400+ drones last night
I was thinking of a cost effective already in production prop plane with added avionics, etc with enough speed to deal with the slower drones that attack population areas away from the front.. Should be easy enough to fly that training is minimal, easy to maintain, and uses inexpensive weaponry. These drones fly at WWI speeds. The Yak 52 with backseat operator with a shotgun has shot down multiple drones in the Odessa area.GAC06 said:
What jet with "decent radar" did you have in mind?
Your thinking of the A-29 Tucano that the Afghan Air Force received and was using after 2015.P.U.T.U said:
Israel and Jordan have started using a variant of the Air Tractor AT-802 I believe to shoot down drones. Slow flying prop plane that is cheap the buy and operate. The USA started using them for close air support in Afghanistan and their roll keeps getting more diverse.

I think Putin may have F'ed up by following up a phone call with Trump with a huge attack. Comes across as a major F you to Trump and we know how mercurial Trump's emotions can be when he feels slighted.Waffledynamics said:U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, speaking at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, stated that Russia’s attacks on Ukraine in recent weeks have reached horrific proportions, and the number of civilian casualties evokes comparisons with events of the… pic.twitter.com/WRzmE9eThr

Why do you think they need Best Korean troops?
Only if there is another power willing/able to step in. Russia isn't a good patron but it is a patron and a lot of those places are pretty unstable. I would be surprised to see a ton of revolts all at once without some outside influence. You're not wrong that Russia is stretched thin however.AlaskanAg99 said:
Eventually the satellites are going to revolt because Russia is spread too thin and continues to take massive losses. As many of these revolting at once will help Ukraine immensely.

Today, Russia bombed a maternity hospital in Kharkiv, a city I know well. Just about a year ago, Russia bombed Kyiv's main kids' cancer hospital.

Well, there were probably Nazi children and babies in those hospitals, and we all know every hospital has a bio lab of some kind on the premises. Weren't we told thats why Putin invaded in the first place?
It's either intentional or they have terrible targeting - I'm guessing the former.

But the fundamental problem for Ukraine is their recruiting/drafting is half what Russia's is. They simply lack the sufficient manpower to be able to regain ground. That's the bottom line.
