According to the Google machine, the current president had an affair with Marla Maples.

We have a guy leading the country that got caught cheating lmao

Democrats taught us many years ago that a President cheating was no big deal. We were told repeatedly on the Sunday morning talk shows and dutifully repeated by all the media outlets over and over again that it was just sex and a private matter during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

So the precedent was set by Bill Clinton. Nobody cares anymore.

But does she do all the things? A lot of wives push a man to cheat because she gives up on herself and no longer does what needs to be done to keep a man faithful.

This is true. Esp after she pops out babies, the husband becomes an afterthought. Then the kids grow up and she doesn't go back to being a "girlfriend" again. So the boys being boys, they look elsewhere for things their wives won't provide.

At some level, if this is the case, I don't blame the CEO. Life sucks sometimes. He probably loves his kids a lot and does not want them to have a broken home.

At some point in life, just "good looks" in a woman isn't enough to keep him. He wants to feel wanted, desired, given the attention not just for what he can provide ($$$). Maybe the HR chick did it for him, I don't know.

True, but what were the odds there lol. One in thousands? Extremely bad luck, but I feel no sympathy for him.

Odds go way up when you're perfectly posed in a luxury box without a crowd around at a concert as far as the kiss cam. I'd put it at bad luck rather than extremely bad luck.

All this is BS. "You shall not" is about as clear as God can get. I don't know about all you guys, but I pledged my everything to my wife. There's no ambiguity. Making excuses is weak and does not remotely fall in line with, what I'm guessing most of us share, positive values. The wife isn't to blame for anything. This is all on the dirt bag.

Agreed...as soon as the kiss cam got to rollin, they would have been wise to break it up immediately. I am also pretty curious about the friends with them...they just friends of the dude and gal? Coworkers? Kind of crazy to just be kickin it with two people having a blatant affair.

ma man, why do you bring God into every discussion?

If your wife marries you and refused to have sex with you, then yes, it is her fault. She needs to get a divorce so you can move on. No one is absolving the CEO (CEOs by nature are scumbags) but there are deeper issues at play.

There's no world where it's her fault. I got up and walked out of a church last year after hearing the pastor tell all the women they needed to keep themselves pampered for the husbands so they don't step out. Total crap. I bring God into this because my marriage is sacred. If a man, or woman, steps out, it's their fault. End of story. If he's that unhappy, why can't he just initiate the divorce?

I'm sorry, but I won't bend on this point and I'm shocked that self-proclaimed conservatives, especially those of faith, think there's a world where what he did is okay.

Blaming the wife for a man cheating. Wow.
If the relationship is so bad, so insufferable, so toxic, that a husband cannot stay committed to his vows…the remedy is not adultry.

It is not the wife's job to keep her husband faithful.

There is no excuse for cheating. There might be background reasons, but absolutely no excuse. It's like murder. There might be reasons, but none of them are justifications. Cheaters are *******s.

And, you're wrong. If your wife were to step out on you, is it your fault?

I'm amazed that any conservative is trying to defend adulterers. It's like if you're not all that serious about the sanctity of marriage, then all the gay marriage denouncers were just bigots. It doesn't come close to passing muster.

I hate to side with TA-OP, but he's right on this one. As long as you are married to her, you don't get to have an excuse to cheat on her. You may have an excuse, but that doesn't mean you are right to do it.
