Sweeny is a big Ford Girl. That GT350 Mustang is hers that she rebuilt. She also rebuilt a 1960's Ford Bronco.

As is Fox News contributor/host Emily Compano w/ her resto-mod '72 Mach 1.

Getting her involved seems like a good idea, but pretty sure she's gonna sell better to guys, not sure if women's jeans is the best use of her.

Lunatic Leftists Blast Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle Jeans Ad as 'Nazi Propaganda'

Quote:

A growing number of disaffected, lunatic leftists on social media are attacking actress Sydney Sweeney as a "Nazi" after an advertisement she stars in for American Eagle jeans was released.

The ad features the stunning actress, who has become a target of hate from the left for her beauty, talking to potential customers about her "genes" as well as her jeans.

"Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color," the Euphoria star says in the video ad.

"My jeans are blue," Sweeney adds.

The ad ends with the tagline, "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans."

And, of course, why not:

Stop giving them clicks. Let them die of obscurity the way people used to do before the web where every nut case is made famous

Straight outta Mad Men. Hopefully other brands will follow the lead.

Also, this is the polar opposite of what Bud Light did to their brand so maybe some of the ad agencies and marketing departments are trainable.

Big booties becoming the norm the last few years has damaged the market, in my view.

It was hard enough for me, with a very long inseam for my long legs, plus the fashionable platform shoes was a big struggle for me, back in the day. Jeans with room for an oversized butt? Cater to them, that won't work either.

I don't understand retailers who put plus sized models in their marketing. I see it with Target all the time. A dress that comes in sizes 0-20, but the model they choose for the advertisement is 300 lbs. Why wouldn't you choose the model that showcases the garment in the best possible way? i.e. on a Sydney Sweeney type, rather than a Lena Dunham type.

A) As a 135 lb woman, that dress looks like crap when modeled on a woman that size, so I'm not buying it.

B) if I was a 300 lb woman, the dress looks "meh" on a 300 lb model so I'd maybe buy it.

On the flip side, if the same dress is modeled by a size 2 woman, both the smaller women AND the obese women will think it looks amazing and buy the dress.

Nah. As a 135 lb woman, I'm much more likely to buy a piece of clothing that looks fantastic on a model that's built like Sydney Sweeney. If you put the same jeans on a 300 lb woman, the jeans will look like isht and I'm not buying them. I'd wager even delusional plus size woman will think the jeans look better on Sydney Sweeney and would be more likely to buy. Even though they have no chance of looking as good in them.

Only ones that WON'T buy because of her are the already bitter types anyway.

The 80s rocked.

"For a 20 x 24 full color poster of this ad, send $3 in check or money order". I wonder if the address is still any good, and if they now take PayPal or Bitcoin.

C'mon... in the 70s when I was in First Grade in Alaska and you were probably a Senior at A&M, the Bell Bottoms and the Earth Shoes were the rage. I remember.

Since you were a co-ed in the 1970s, please let me in on the bra situation because everything I remember and what I'm led to believe, there was a bra shortage back then.

I'm gay AF, but this is a movement I can get behind. Young women/girls today look like crap. Jeans up to their ribs, glasses that take over half their face (that they probably dont need in the first place), weird hair styles and colors....just screams frumpy and ungroomed.

I was in HS during the early 2000s at the height of the AE, A&F, etc. styles. Girls looked AMAZING in the low rise boot cut jeans, and tight tops. They embraced beauty rather than intentionally ruining it.

This whole thing boils down to some rather loud, obnoxious voices losing societal power and narrative. Let them scream and throw a fit like a bunch of spoiled toddlers who are angry for not getting what they want. I think the parents have had enough of the bad behavior.

EDIT:
I'm old and didn't know this girl in the AE ad. She is natural pretty. Ad reminds me of the 80s-90s.

Advertising was always aspirational -- you showed people what their lives COULD be like by using attractive models and situations they desired.

Hot women. The Marlboro man, untamed. Beer that made you popular. Buy our product and this will be you!

Then came the social transition to wokeness, which was 100 percent performative. No one likes ads featuring fat, ugly or weird people; they like being to SAY they like them.

It was a hive mind, social contagion. Businesses let themselves be pushed around by a handful of progressive nerds who screamed bloody murder to get their way. Don Draper wept.

But the earth is finally healing.
