Shotsie is a variation of a German word for sweetheart. The word was in cartoon books my dad brought back from Germany from his time in the Air Force. It was usually referring to ladies of the night in that book. It's spelled Schatzi in German.

That's exactly what I told my husband. If you'll set a person on fire for a personal slight you're a freaking nut job. So unless he picked her up and carried her out and was holding her prisoner, she left him willingly.

Should you mess around with a married woman? No. dDoes messing around with a married woman justify her husband setting you on fire? Absolutely not.

Interesting. In one episode of Hogan's Heroes, the '60s/70s sitcom that was a parody of Nazi POW camps (not concentration camps), the Seargent of the guard, Sgt. Schultz, noted that before the war, he was owner of the Shotsie Toy Company. Schultz was a bit of an imbecile in the series, always bumbling around and constantly knowing nothing, as he would himself say. With that said, he made the show and the character is remembered to this day as the guy who looks the other way.

Except he's a British citizen. He's gonna be put on a ship straight back to England.

There are a few things that will make people go insane. Adultery is one them. I'm not excusing the behavior of the guy who tried to murder the other guy, but you are woefully underestimating the impact of adultery.

God did not say it shouldn't be punished by death for no reason. This was not just some random thing. It's in the 10 Commandments and routinely listed with murder in the Bible for a reason.

People taking this lightly really aren't considering just how much this messes people up.
