I did domestic legal work for a while. Adultery is very common, but it is often a secondary symptom of other problems.

My ex went cray cray and wouldn't agree on divorce settlement language. She started hanging out with this other dude, and this hottie was all up in my business (I had done her divorce a year prior). So technically, it was the big A, but my ex and I were mentally and emotionally done and she was dragging her feet because I was paying all the bills.

So I don't consider that adultery. Especially when she'd moved on with another (poor guy- but thanks!) dude.
