Already happened before AI came along. The major financial platforms have had Robo Advisor options for several years now. If your situation is not all that complicated, AI is going to make this area all that more automated and basically democratize wealth planning.

The actual rich like all of us here (minus hedge and Two Teas) may still use humans because our situations are more complicated, but even that is in danger.

Seems like getting into the trades is the safest. This could end up being a good thing. If we can less young kids wasting 4-6 years in a left wing seminary we'll all be better off.
I just had to pay a plumber over $1k for about a 3 hour job replacing a pipe in my front yard. If more the pipe would've been damaged it could've gone as high as $3500.
Plumber is where it's at! Might be the safest, highest paying job in America.

I was looking at this list, and thought "So basically no jobs where you work outside are on here ".

There's your answer, kids.

Robo mowing can go to hell. I love hoping on my zero turn and cutting grass. It's the freaking trimming that kills me.

And that gadget is going to be pushed onto roofing contractors (ie - franchisees). Just roll it into the front end financing of the business. It will be sold as a way to eliminate/dramatically reduce labor and insurance costs.
Tack on about $250K for the cost to acquire the territory

The question I have is.....How does it handle vents and mechanical systems on the roof?

Financial planners are going the way of an endangered species. There will be a lot fewer and the ones left will.be using AI to generate the plans behind the scene.

There will be jobs that completely disappear and jobs where the number of humans doing those jobs is significantly reduced, like this one.

May I please have an AI financial planner that follows and trades like Nancy Pelosi does?

Data collection maybe, not interpretation

3. Passenger Attendants

How is AI going to serve drinks on Southwest?

8. Telephone Operators

What is this, 1965?

12. Farm and Home Management Educators

AI is going to come out to my farm and do the County Agent's job?

13. Telemarketers

I'd rather they not be replaced at all. Maybe I can get AI to answer my spam calls for me.

14. Concierges

Maybe, but having connections and the ability to tailor advice is part of the job

15. Political Scientists

Can't be any worse than the human ones.

16. News Analysts, Reporters, Journalists

Ditto

20. Hosts and Hostesses

AI is going to show me to my table?

36. Models

Interesting thought. Will an AI image be more appealing than a real human?

Did you ever think, as a young man opining on Hammurabi's code when he first issued it, that you'd be around to opine on AI?

I'm shocked that pharmacists aren't listed.

As far as authors and writers, I'm not convinced. As someone who writes frequently, I've turned to AI to help me get inspiration and phrasing ideas but I've never pulled anything directly from AI or felt like the writing was strong enough to use for my own purposes.

Can AI write a coherent story? Yes. Is it good writing? Nah, not so much.

Agree with this. There have been stories in the news about lawyers using AI to write pleadings and briefs, only the citations are incorrect or the cases do not exist at all. And that should be fairly easy to program. Legal research, although laborious is not that hard. Nor is the proper citation form. Set format.

Yet AI cannot do it.

Another thing I have noticed is the lack of a thesaurus when it comes to vocabulary. Sam descriptors, adjectives and adverbs used over and over. Makes the writing boring and flat. "It was a dark and stormy night" type of vapid writing.

Hilton worked for me every time until they had a server crash on one stay. Nothing opened the doors then until everybody went back to the front desk to either rescan keys or reset rooms to your phone. For the most part though it's always worked for me.

You laugh, but there are already AI videos and songs.

At least half of the videos on YouTube now are AI slop. It has completely ruined the platform. Combine that with all the clickbait news articles being generated, and AI is making the Internet unusable.
your last sentence may be the biggest achievement of AI so we can return to a normal human existence based on life experiences and human interaction.

I don't like getting stuck next to the elevators, talking up the front desk usually avoids this.

This would be incredibly stupid on a large scale. There are critical thinking and on the spot decision making abilities that AI is nowhere close to being able to make at this point involved in the job.

Could it maybe take non emergency calls in more efficiently? Possibility, but even there non emergency suddenly becomes emergency way to often.

Someone who's never done or been around the job..
