    Imagine pretending you have the moral upper hand when you think killing civilians and children, who effectively live in a WWII-style Nazi ghetto, is ok and in fact, necessary. Not to mention the hospital workers and foreign journalists and aid workers who get murdered for just being there.

    From the National WWII Museum on Ghettos: These enclosed, heavily guarded city districts forced Jewish populations to live in overcrowded, unsanitary conditions under threat of execution. The ghettos served as stepping stones to extermination camps.

    Seems almost identical to Gaza. Horrible living conditions, over crowded, heavily guarded, restricted movement, control of food and water supply, control of humanitarian aid, will murder you if you leave certain zones or break curfews...

    Well this will be a fun question but first my history.

    I grew up in the Pentecostal church which is very pro Israel and Zionism. I didn't question this much as a kid. I am still a Christian but not Pentecostal.

    How many of the posters here that support Israel do so because you think the Bible commands you to do so?

    And a side question I posted on the religion board, unrelated.

    Does anyone active in the Assembly of God of Pentecostal church remember a presentation on the crimes of the Soviets that was making the rounds in the early 80s? And if so might you know how to get a name or copy of the presentation?

    Nobody on the religion board had heard of it. I want to know specifically due to some of the Soviet equipment shown in the presentation was baffling to me as a child and I would like to see how well my memory is of what I saw that evening.

    I don't think most mainstream Christian denominations believe the Bible tells them to support Israel. In fact, probably up until World War II, most Christians distrusted Jews because of their rejection of Jesus. I'd say our troops' liberation of Nazi concentration camps is what led a lot of Americans to lend their support to Jews/Israel.

    Besides, the U.S. has always supported underdogs, and it's hard to be more of an underdog than the fledgling Israeli nation surrounded by Muslims from 1949 up until the recent past. And they have been our most reliable ally in that area.

    Then why do folks like Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro advocate for censorship of dissenting views, dehumanize entire countries' populations and scapegoat all of Israel's problems on "evil Muslims"?
