My sneaky suspicion is he is trying to draw a specific reaction, comment from the ayatollah to confirm if the dude is even alive and functioning. I would expect his comments to get even a bit crazier and perhaps petty, insulting.

What concessions by Iran to US demands have you seen that indicate they are feeling such a choke hold? I have seen no concessions.5Amp said:

They can pretend that we're not destroying their country through propaganda, median statements, and tweets but that doesn't change that we have done that. Them lobbing a few missiles at neighbors is like having a temper tantrum IMO.

Whatever happened to the limited oil storage volume issue that was going to force them to cap their wells? Seem to recall it was "only days remaining" like weeks ago. And also recall that they were dumping the oil into the ocean just to avoid the well shutdown. Any insights on any of this?

There are several factors that could bring about a capitulation from Iran
People who wanted to believe the US could easily force a capitulation were trumpeting these considerations
boots on the ground or bombing civilian infrastructure in what some consider a war crime is usually how wars are won
Both of these options imo will not be how this conflict will be concluded
Therefore other strategies and lots of talking points about how this war would be won short of war crimes and boots on the ground

Tehran is proactively reducing crude output in a move to stay ahead of capacity limits rather than waiting for tanks to fill completely, according to the senior official, who asked not to be identified because the information is sensitive. And engineers have learned how to idle wells without lasting damage and restart them quickly, officials say, after years of sanctions and shutdowns pushed the country's oil industry through cycles of disruption.

The US naval blockade is definitely biting, and Iranian crude exports are cratering, but the street is completely misreading the mechanics here.

Iran's oil export engine is nothing but a massive, structural money-and-logistics laundering matrix. On the physical side, the whole… pic.twitter.com/NNMVtxVWAS

I think the biggest issue is there isn't an organized leadership of Iran to negotiate with.

Right, but the water crisis originally came from Iran itself. So, they either overestimated the severity and/or they have received a ton of rain since beginning of year. Or, they have implemented such strict water restrictions that they've managed to prolong the collapse.
