Okay so the packers defense might be better than I thought.
You have have have to at least try to run the ball on multiple downs in a row.
I'm a firm believer that in the NFL you MUST get your offensive line moving forward as often as you can, because if you retreat retreat retreat good d lines will beat your offensive line 8/10 times.
I have no clue what the Washington offensive game plan is.

I'm going to give the packers their flowers. They look really good! But equally as I'll give the packers their flowers, I'm going to call it like I see it with Washington, and that was NOT good. On top of the packers just having more talent than Washington, I thought Quinn and Kliff got seriously out coached. Kliff; you know your offensive line isn't great and you're starting a rookie tackle against Gary and Micah, so try to run the freaking ball a bit more than 19 times. And Quinn; you've got Lattimore getting absolutely abused at CB, so maybe get him out or give him some help? Also the end of first half was atrocious.

I watched the game and have no idea what Washington's gameplan was. It was really bad most of the time
I posted this a few days ago... Washington is OLD. They have so many starters that are 29-35 years old.
I honestly didn't realize this until I was looking at their roster. I do not see them as a franchise on the rise... they have a LOT of work to do to infuse young / prime age talent around Daniels.

I just seriously worry about Kliff and their offense. Kliff has never been able to sustain success in the NFL, or really even in college. His first year or two in Arizona the offenses were good, but teams figure it out super quickly and then it's easy to stop, and it looks like last night. I think super highly of Jaden Daniels and believe he's a future MVP talent at QB, but you look at that team, coaching and players, and wonder if they are doing the most to help him.
Yeah, they definitely give off the impression that they caught people by surprise last year. It's really hard for teams to adjust & adapt to other teams in the midst of a season. But we've seen lots of teams & QBs in particular have sophomore slumps after the rest of the NFL has an offseason to gameplan.
Washington appears (to me) to be a team that's going to really fall off this year. I wouldn't peg them as a playoff team right now.

And I'm hoping that shows up by way of us absolutely trashing NY Giants on Sunday.
At first glance some people were saying maybe NY isn't that bad with how they played Washington close for 3+ quarters. But no... I'm thinking NY is as bad as advertised and Washington is just a mid level team at best.

I don't think Washington is as bad as Green Bay is outstanding. Their defense was outstanding on all fronts. Not sure the other defensive end isn't just as good as Micah.
GB will be interesting to watch. Clark was obviously an immediate boost to our defense... surprising GB is holding up well without him in the middle.
GB is also loaded with a roster full of "who?!?" at WR... and their #1 guy from last year just broke his collar bone.
Not gonna pretend the Packers don't look good so far, but it's a long season and time will tell.

As we were saying about Washington counting on way too many old guys... they appear to have lost their 30 year old RB (Ekeler) and their 31 year old DE (Wise) for the season.
Feels so weird as a late 40's dude to be calling early 30's dude's old... I felt awesome and was in great shape in my early 30's.

The Packers key is staying ahead of the chains. When and if you can get Jacobs going full steam, getting 3-5 yards a pop, Love doesn't haven't to throw the ball 30+ times and increase his chances of throwing picks or getting sacked. He can go one read, two read balls out and likely throwing less than 10 yards. Then play action ball over the top.

For real... I really wanted him. I think we liked him too, but the Pack took him around 10 picks ahead of us.
We ended up with Kneeland who looks like he's on his way to being a similar player to D-Law so we still did OK, but we could you imagine Cooper and Overshown together!
