I was pretty close on my estimate that Hendricks was wanting a deal over 100 mil.

The years and average don't matter... how much is fully guaranteed? That's the only thing that matters to him and his agent (this being his last real deal).

My guess is that from day 1 they wanted at least 50 or 60 million guaranteed.

Just looked it up... According to reports, it's 60 fully guaranteed.

Friggin nailed it! I bet I was close on my initial thought they they were asking for 3 year at 35 mil which was reported to be 10 mil more than teams wanted to pay.

Ravens got the per year down by making it 4 years, but Hendricks still gets his 50+ guarantee.

My worry is that Jerry takes Love at #12. He loves the offensive splash - Zeke, CD…

I'll give the Cowboys credit here... what Hendrick's got from the Ravens was much less than what they were asking for a few days ago.

If the Cowboys had farted around with Hendrick's and their original demands, they would have missed out on everyone else. Instead, they moved on and signed other guys (like every other team did).

This craziness with Crosby is the only reason Hendrick's even got a deal done. Hendrick's was well on his way to another 1 year deal until the Ravens suddenly had a hole to fill and money to spend.

See if the raiders are desperate enough to move maxx for a 2nd and 3rd now

I'm sorta reading between the lines based on what I'm halfway listening to at work this morning.

Crosby and Hendrick's both have legit injury questions/concerns. The Cowboys current mindset is they are NOT messing around with injury dudes. I've heard McCoy is not even on their draft board for this reason.

Of course they considered Crosby and Hendrick's, but once the asking price was put out there they quickly moved on. They were not going to get into a bidding war for guys that might not be 100%.

Cowboys have a 3 year window to win now. They can't afford drafting a dude to redshirt and heal up like they've done 100x. They need plug and play.

vet and depth signing. I don't hate our DL/OLB room but we need a baller that you look at and OC has to game plan to stop. Need ILB help and speed off the edge.

Yup, my concern is Jerry passing on elite defensive players like Downs to take Love. Dallas already has an outstanding 1200 yd. RB they just resigned.

I'd imagine if Love has fallen that far it's because the elite defensive players were taken instead.

But it would hard to be mad at taking Love there. He's one of the best 2-3 players in the draft and he would make our offense the best skill group in the league.

take the best available player at 12. don't draft for need.
