At the sanctums? I usually whip out my bow and clip them, they fall to the ground and then you can get stabby and finish them off.

No, not those. Those are just a nuisance. I entered some area and was swarmed by them. Arrows did not knock them out of the sky. I have the crows special but that didn't seem to do much damage.

As far as archers, Im probably not doing it right, but when I see a wooden perch, I blinding light and focus on the platform they are standing on and it burns them right up, but they of course get shots in because it takes a few seconds.

You can also allegedly axiom grip the top and use the arial swing into some sort of summersalt roll and then force palm to destroy them, but I am either not adept enough to pull that maneuver off or I don't have the spinny roll skill yet....so Im left trying to burn 'em down.

Yeah, desperate times call for desperate measures and those archers really tick me off.

They almost never try and climb down the ladder either, preferring to burn to death.

Just use your two button power attack on the legs of those towers. Or if you've had enough of their ****, climb up and RKO them into the tower and then float away as it falls down.

Well. I wish I were talking about the archers in the towers....

I'm just talking about just the regular old guys on the ground, right when you run into a big mob in a fort.

So I've got 10 dudes surrounding me and 6 archers picking at me, I haven't figured out a clean way to get to them yet.

I may just need to increase my stamina so I can power attack a path to them and cut through the mobs.

Do you have sword glint combo yet? You activate it in a group and then you can direct the combo towards where you want to hit. It ends in a leaf explosion and knocks people back in a big circle.

Is that the blinding flash finisher?

I think I was working towards the skills needed to unlock it - I actually haven't checked to see if I have enough to unlock it now.

I ran into a Stone Lantern Spider for the first time, but I wasn't really sure what to do with 'em.

beat the bradie gu boss earlier. randomly stumbled upon the bloodsteel camp and spent a good hour getting the bandit % down to 0 with probably 20 revives....only to find out that it basically does nothing and doesn't clear the occupation. I got a ton of loot out of it, but wasted a ton of time. So, just ran up to the boss, which is tough to find because all the mini fortresses look the same. The boss himself wasn't too bad. Only took me 3 tries I think. I don't think my gear is where I really needed it to be just yet. Still at 34 defense on armor, 15 on helm, 24 on my balton sword. But, he was manageable with that.

For coin, I just started going to that wildlife park and pickpocketing nobles for gold bars. Money is not really a concern anymore haha, so I guess I just need to contribute all my stuff to camp provisions, but not sure. 128 hours in now. Still on chapter 5, but knocked out a ton of faction quests, etc.

I really like the option now to take the refinement materials back. You can use them then to refine something else. Also added mounts and mount gear.

Yes, for a hoarder like me, I haven't been upgrading anything past when it starts needing Abyss artifacts - I'm still in Ch. 3 (or 4? that is how little time I get to play) and I'm always afraid I'll find something new and awesome so I don't want to overextend my supplies on my current stuff.

I've been using the Fallen Kingdom armor set. I have not changed because of the amount of resources I have tied up in it. So I'm thinking I may change to something else since now I can change back if I want.

I've upgraded my armor to 41 defense now, but haven't added in any gears. do abyss gears do anything for armor? I see it has slots...

I've got the hound as my primary 2 handed weapon with all 5 gear slots and attack at 26. crit rate is 3. I still use soul spear a lot with 27 attack. I don't have any 1 handed weapons over 22 yet.

If you're not using abyss gears you are totally missing out on some amazing abilities. It will also help you in all combat situations.

I've used them on my weapons, just not on armor

I use one on my armor that give me a 35% increase in damage to my turning slash. Also have defense upgrades and health regen.

When do abyss gears start dropping?

The first main boss you fight has a sword with abyss gears in it. You get it as a reward for beating him. I think in chapter 3 or 4 your get introduced to the first witch so you can change them out if you want.

Yes, I have quite a bit of unique gear with abyss gears, just wasn't sure when or how to keep an eye out for generic ones.

The majority of mine have come from gear that I've recovered or was awarded. You eventually get recipes for them and can make them at the witches, but I have not done so. I have too many to process now and it gives me indecision when I'm fiddling with my gear.
